EFR 137: The Big Five - You Are the Average of the Five People Around You with May Chewning

Rewind 10 SecondsPlayFast Forward

00:00:00

00:00:00

When you think of the five people you are around the most, do you also think of five character traits that you hope others use to describe you? Chase and his wife May explore this concept as it has applied to their lives and the lessons learned from taking inventory of the people around them (and influencing them) the most.

Example from May's original blog: "But the 5 people you surround yourself with the most, that is 100% up to you, so choose wisely. Save a space in your heart for those who aren’t at the same place you are at right now. I’m not saying cut people out. I’m not saying completely lose touch and abandon all hope. I am simply suggesting (from my own experience) that as we get older our time is very limited. Life gets hectic, our priorities change, and time tends to run out when we need it the most. So take the very little time you do have to invest in relationships that are worthwhile and meaningful." Her blog can be found here at MayYazdi.com

Mental health is no longer a dirty word. What was once, and in some parts of the world unfortunately still is, shunned and pushed off by our own doing or out of fear of ridicule by others has taken a much more prominent role in 2018. Janet Anderson, LICSW, shares with us the necessity it must be in our journey for total wellness. More importantly, who should be advising us on our mental health and who may be working out of their scope of practice.

EFR 134: Absolving the Scarcity Mindset to Fully Evolve with Emily Hayden

00:00:00

What does it mean to evolve as a human being? How do we get out of our comfort zone and truly move the needle in areas such as our health, fitness, personal relationships, or even business? Emily Hayden, an IFBB Bikini Pro and fitness social media influencer, believes it starts with a shift from a scarcity mindset to one of abundance.

In this episode, Emily and I discuss briefly her painful upbringing in a house with a mentally ill mother. She suffered emotional and even physical abuse, a life that ultimately led her down a path of sleeping in her car and struggling to find her purpose. By accepting her path and choosing to evolve it, Emily has been able to empower countless others through her content and "Evolve with Emily" coaching services.

You can connect with her on Instagram @emilyhayden or on her YouTube channel by clicking here.

EFR 132: Create a New Algorithm for Your Life with Charlie "Rocket" Jabeley

Rewind 10 SecondsPlayFast Forward

00:00:00

00:00:00

Have you ever dreamed so big, that it would change the lives of so many others, and end up changing your own, forever? Charlie Jabaley wasn't your typical kid from Georgia. Sometimes labelled, "the chubby kid", Charlie was a dreamer. Knowing that he needed to use his imagination as a weapon to survive the playground, Charlie created his first persona, CEO Charlie. He had other ideas. Like pursuing the life of an athlete. But, that had to wait.

As a young CEO millionaire of Atlanta Hip-hop management company, Street Execs, he sold millions of records, changed the trajectory of how to market to millennials, and guided the careers of influential artists like Grammy award winning 2Chainz. However, while all the success was pouring in, he battled depression, binge eating, crippling insecurities and a brain tumor. To everyone on the outside, CEO Charlie was crushing it. On the inside, he was dying. Unhealthy, unhappy and unfilled, Charlie retired in 2017 at the age of 29 from both the music industry and the name “CEO Charlie”. He made the decision to reinvent his life in pursuit of his childhood dream to become an athlete.

AND FROM THE FLAMES EMERGED CHARLIE ROCKET,

Charlie Rocket inspires those around him. He’s lost 135 pounds. Became vegan. Ran 3 marathons. Reversed the growth of his brain tumor. Became an Ironman. Just finished his nationally known Dream Machine bike tour across America. Is currently on the cover of Runner’s World Magazine and secured partnership with Nike. Charlie has rerouted his ambition of making millions of dollars into his current mission to TRANSFORM 1 MILLION PEOPLE’S LIVES.
