00:00 - Chase (Host) The following is an Operation Podcast production. You got a secret. I understand You're here to tell us the quote secret to effortlessly, effortlessly, becoming the happiest, healthiest and wealthiest us that we can be. So what's the big secret?

00:16 - Mimi (Host) So the word effortlessly comes with a caveat. We can choose in any given moment to be who we want to be. I used to be so unconfident, I used to be a very different personality, Like I had a different personality, and that was the number one belief that changed everything for me Because, no matter what, I knew that the life I wanted was up to me. If I wanted to be making a million dollars a month, if I wanted to have the relationship of my dreams and if I wanted to live a life where you, If I wanted to have the relationship of my dreams and if I wanted to live a life where you know, I live in the Bahamas half the year and London half the year like I could create any of that. That's how I changed my life and how I've helped hundreds of thousands of people change theirs.

00:56 - Chase (Host) You got a really unique approach to, I think, what a lot of people would assume understand to be meditations, manifestations. You've got your own little own spin on it.

01:04 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, so activation is not meditation, it's a new type of audio. The story is actually really interesting how I created this. So, hi, I'm Mimi Bouchard. I'm the author of Activate your Future Self and the founder of the Activations app. Welcome to Ever Forward Radio.

01:27 - Chase (Host) Hey Ever Forward Radio listeners, welcome back to the show. I'm so glad you are here with me today. I'm your host, chase Schoening, army veteran certified health coach, wellness entrepreneur, and today I sat down in studio with Mimi Bouchard. She's an entrepreneur, investor, podcaster and thought leader in the self-improvement and wellness space. She's also the founder and CEO of the incredibly popular Activations app and has helped thousands of people transform their lives. She is here to help you do just that, fresh off of the release of her new book, activate your Future Self the Secret to Effortlessly Becoming the Happiest, healthiest and Wealthiest you. In this conversation today, she's going to help you gain clarity on what your dream life looks like and what you really want, how to change your self image and become your future self through things like visualization, mental rehearsal, activations, her own baby right there and writing prompts and so much more, not to mention how to maintain your future self-frequency every day using this unique achievement tool, what she calls the bounce back rate. Mimi's goal is to help show everyone that you have potential inside of you that you haven't tapped into yet, and our podcast today is going to show you how to achieve that potential, quickly recover from setbacks and finally become who you've always wanted to be. Just remember this to create the life you want, you must first become the kind of person that has it. With that in mind, let's jump into the conversation with Mimi and learn how to activate your future self. But first, you know, I found some alarming data that I got to share with you because actually, only you can help me change it for the better.

03:11 50% 50% of you listening right now on Apple Podcasts aren't subscribed. Come on, what are you doing? You're leaving me hanging. It takes literally a couple seconds just to go to the app, tap follow or subscribe. I forget they keep changing it, but half of you are listening and you're not subscribed. It is the easiest, biggest way I could ask to show a little thanks for the show. If you find value in the show or today's episode, it just does wonders. It helps support the show gets pushed out to other potential listeners and just helps other people, which is my ultimate goal to live a life ever forward. I would love to come back to the data next month and see that ratio a little bit less. So if you are subscribed, thank you. If you're in that 50%, that hasn't yet. What are you doing, please? And thank you.

04:01 - Mimi (Host) So my whole work is focused around self-image psychology and um. This book called psycho cybernetics by dr maxwell maltz really changed my life many years ago and what was the title again?

04:14 psycho cybernetics. It's from like the 50s. This guy wrote it a long time ago. It's not a popular self-help book, but it it's the first self-help book all about self-image, and one of the only ones. He's the father of self-image psychology, dr Maxwell Meltz, and you know the gist of it, and bringing it back to the effortless word, is that you must first become the type of person that has what you want and then that will effortlessly happen.

04:43 So once you do the work of becoming the self-image of your future self, then you start making the right decisions, you start embodying the right characteristics, you start to have the right habits that align with the person that you want to be. And then, when you adjust that self-image, first think about it like the core of an onion with all the layers outside of it. You know your habits, your thoughts, your beliefs and then in the middle it's your self-image, your identity. If you first just change your identity to match the desired future that you want, everything outside naturally changes. So the hard way to change a lot of people you know like to talk about now habits and change your thoughts and your beliefs, but those are all just these outside layers, and if you just change one.

05:30 It's really, really hard to change everything and that's why people fail when they are so inspired, you know, on January 1st, to achieve all their goals and you know, two weeks in they've they fail and it's because they were relying motivation and discipline and they didn't actually change the root the self-image, the identity. So once you are able to change that identity and self-image through the work that I teach I can help you do that then everything else becomes quite effortless and really fun. And then you get to live like your future is happening right now and really fun. And then you get to live like your future is happening right now and, um, I'm sure we'll get into my story and everything, but uh, that's how I changed my life and how I've helped hundreds of thousands of people change theirs.

06:14 - Chase (Host) I got to hone in on something that you said so kind of effortlessly. Again there's that word, but identity. You say all we have to do is just change our identity work on changing our identity. Someone is probably hearing that and going what do you mean that? That doesn't sound so simple. I've maybe even tried what walk us through. Just all you have to do is change your identity. What do you mean by that? What does that look like, what does that feel like and what can people expect during that transitionary period?

06:42 - Mimi (Host) Yeah. So it's your personality, it's your self image, it's how you see yourself, it's what you say at the end of the sentence. I'm just the kind of person that dot dot dot. So, for example, let's use health and fitness for a very easy example. Um, you know, if you identify as the type of person that is healthy, you're naturally just going to want to order the healthy option at a restaurant. There's no resistance, there's no feeling of restriction. So that takes out all the hard work out of it. So I always use this example If you identify as a runner, it's going to be weird, you're going to feel strange if you don't go on a run, at least like three, four times a week right, I don't identify as a runner, so I'm going to put that aside.

07:21 Yeah, but it's an example. If I, if I truly had a desire to become a runner, I know that I would have to just work on the identity piece first, and then it would naturally start happening. So, uh, yeah, that's, that's the core and how to do it. There are so many ways. Um, I have a two-step process to transformation, and the first one is clarity.

07:41 You must first get crystal clear on the future self, vision of who you want to be, and I use the term future self a lot. It's the vision of your ideal future, of your ideal self, of your best self, of your most authentic self, because I believe that your future self is actually the real you and everything that you're not is layered on top, and the process of becoming your best self is actually the process of unbecoming everything that you're not is layered on top, and the process of becoming your best self is actually the process of unbecoming everything that you're not. It's not achieving this outside thing that's never, you know, materialized before it's actually becoming you and that, you know, really makes it feel like that gut feeling you know that you have. I want to be this person. This feels right. I dream about this certain life. That's because it is meant to be yours. That's a belief of mine.

08:29 - Chase (Host) What would you say to someone who is struggling with just that aspect of identity, of who I am now much less who I even want to become or who I think I am worthy of becoming, because I know identity and I've been there. Identity is a big struggle for people. Maybe you feel like you're choosing an identity now because it's comfortable, because it's your environment, it's your situation. There's a lot of safety in that, but you also know that that's not really you. But it just kind of confuses a lot of people around. Who am I, what is my true identity or what do I want my true identity to become? Or have that shine through.

09:03 - Mimi (Host) Like we up until the age of eight. We're essentially like sponges we just take in information. So a lot of who we are today is we never really actively decided to be that way. We can choose in any given moment to be who we want to be. I used to be so unconfident. I used to be a very different personality, like I had a different personality, and this was back in 2016, before I really embarked on this self-development journey. I was someone that I can't even recognize. Today, I feel more myself than I ever have, and this work has brought me there. Plus, I've also been able to transform every single area of my life, from my health and my body to my relationships, to my finances, to my relationship with myself and you know, at the end of the day, this work is beyond. I started it because I wanted to be rich just in full transparency.

09:54 I started personal development because I was like I want to make money and I want to become, you know, the version of me that has all this money. I didn't grow up with a lot of money. My parents blessed them, but they're artists and you know, I definitely felt insecure about our financial situation growing up and it was really important to me. So when I first developed, you know, this interest in personal development, it was honestly just because I wanted to learn how to be rich and I for some reason connected those two together. So, um, and then over time, I realized that you know, that's just one very small part of the equation. It's actually just changed my life in every way, shape or form and, you know, money aside, I'm I'm just deeply the best version of myself I feel right now and the happiest I've ever been right now. So, um, you know, this work is for for everything. It's not just for money. That's so materialistic, Like it really is for everything from just how you live every day. You know, like my everyday, present moment just is so much more rich and I just feel so connected and so much less anxious and so much more me and I can now deal with things that come up in a completely new way, deal with things that come up in a completely new way. And I've learned that, even when bad things happen to me in life because, of course, you know, life's not perfect, we can't control things that happen externally Sometimes my response is 50% of that equation.

11:18 Um, and I I realized that in the past I used to have this victim mentality where I would allow the event to become the outcome and because I didn't come from a certain you know, like financial background, or because you know of all these other excuses I could tell myself. You know, I realized that this victim mentality was just really holding me back. And when I learned this principle in a lot of the personal development stuff that I was reading at the time, that the event plus your response equals the outcome, so the response is 50% of the outcome and I started seeing that in every situation in my life and it made me realize that this victim mentality was holding me back so much. And I adopted this mentality of being 100% responsible for my life and that was the number one belief that changed everything for me because, no matter what, I knew that the life I wanted was up to me.

12:16 If I wanted to be making a million dollars a month, which sounded crazy at the time. If I wanted to have the relationship of my dreams and you know, find the partner that felt so like perfect for me. If I wanted to have the relationship of my dreams and you know, find the partner that felt so like perfect for me. If I wanted to live a life where you know I live in the Bahamas half the year and London half the year like I could create any of that life on your own terms.

12:34 Life on my own terms, every aspect unlimited, though here's the thing I have always been very attracted to just this unlimited potential feeling, Right, um, I don't know why, but I've always loved that feeling of like possibility for you or just in life. I just love talking about possibility. I'm a visionary. I've always loved just feeling unlimited and doing things that make me feel unlimited, having conversations that make me feel unlimited, and I think that, ultimately, is what, like, my business is today as well.

13:05 - Chase (Host) You got a really unique approach to, I think, what a lot of people would assume understand to be meditations, manifestations. You've got your own little own spin on it that clearly is doing wonders for you in your life.

13:16 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, so activation is not meditation. It's a new type of audio that I've developed, and the story is actually really interesting how I created this. So back in in 2017, I started recording voice memos on my phone that I would just re-listen to, and I then added music and garage band and would find inspiring cinematic music on YouTube. Were these like notes or like you hyping yourself up, or you know, hey, future self get it together.

13:43 - Chase (Host) Or like you got it or you're rich, or what was it?

13:45 - Mimi (Host) It was a mix of all of that, so a mix of visualization, a mix of affirmations, a mix of just any words that would essentially get me to the result of feeling like my future self now.

13:57 - Chase (Host) And probably changing your state where you were currently dear.

14:00 - Mimi (Host) Radically.

14:02 - Chase (Host) Fear, doubt, uncertainty, shame, maybe, yes, maybe yes, yes, oh, my gosh.

14:06 - Mimi (Host) So much of all of that. I'd feel that on a daily basis. Um, and the reason I started recording these voice memos to myself is because I was trying to get into meditation, because all of these self-help books and all the work that I was doing on myself, they were all saying, okay, the you know, you have to meditate. And I tried, I really, really, really tried, and I couldn't stick to it. And I think meditation is great if you want to calm your body and relax, and I should probably start meditating at some point to calm my nervous system when I'm stressed.

14:35 - Chase (Host) What were you trying actually? Because I know a lot of people resonate with that. They hear the path to self-awareness, the path to your highest self lives through a lot of different practices, but meditation is abundant, it's all over the place and also it's a very ancient practice, exactly. And so we hear that it makes sense to us. We see people living, feeling, embodying this life that we want some kind of semblance of. We sit down to meditate and we just we just can't do it or it doesn't quote work for us. So what were you doing that you think a lot of other people were doing? That is air quote here wrong.

Seriously, as a guy that's always running hot, naturally sweaty, I'm active, I work out a lot. Maybe this is TMI, but I have tried so many different deodorants and antiperspirants, even natural ones, and they all kind of leave me wanting more or they all kind of have just that weird too natural smell that, mixed with my natural sweat, is not a winning combination. I have been blown away by the natural deodorant from Primally Pure. 18:09 - Mimi (Host) Listen, there are some people that can really get into meditation. They love it and that's great and I aspire to have that. At some point of my life where I was trying to radically change my circumstance, I needed something to motivate me to change my energy in such a prominent way where I was going to go out into the world and be my future self and create, and I felt like sitting with my thoughts and trying to think about nothing and doing something so passive, trying to relax my body. It was like the opposite of what I wanted. I wanted something invigorating. I wanted something to like hype me up and motivate me and make me feel like my life is a movie and this is just one phase of it and I'm going to get there.

18:51 - Chase (Host) And I wanted that feeling of I need something to match my energy.

18:54 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, I wanted something to inspire me, to bring me to that next level. So I just couldn't find that in meditation and again like this is not to rip on meditation Cause I think it's great to de-stress if you were connect to your spirituality or something. But I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for something to transform me into my future self, and I wasn't looking to calm my mind and clear my head. I was looking to transform into my future I love this Honestly.

19:21 - Chase (Host) You're sharing in part of this journey. I think this is where a lot of people might be reserved about this, because it doesn't, again here, line up with quote the standard path to your highest self personal development. You recognize, I know a change needs to happen and I'm willing to practice things that I see work for other people, things that I see work for other people. But you were also very intuitive and you're really trying to just listen to what. What you know is your truth, which kind of makes sense for your whole philosophy here.

19:50 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, I was obviously very intuitive at that time. Little did I know that me creating these voice notes myself. One day I just decided to pick up my phone and I said I'm going to create my own type of audio because this isn't working.

20:02 Little did I know that would turn into a business that literally helped me achieve all these insane goals that I was just dreaming of at one point, that this company would help me achieve all the numbers that were ever on my vision board, or whatever. Like it's just crazy that just listening to you know your intuition can just lead to crazy results in the future. But this was almost a decade ago. Okay, I launched my company three and a half years ago, so I saw how insane the transformation started to kind of really, you know, happen at when I was listening to these.

20:38 You know the original version of activations, um, which is what I call these audios, and um, you know, when I was in that beginning journey, I would also notice cause I was testing a lot, right, I was in a place where I had like under $10 in my bank account at one point. Okay, I was living in London at the time as a Canadian. I moved there with like just money I'd saved up that summer from working at a bar and I just thought I needed to go, move and try to make my first entrepreneurial venture, which was like an online magazine, of reality. So I go there.

21:07 - Chase (Host) You picked London. The pound's pretty strong compared to us over here. It was bold, but listen.

21:13 - Mimi (Host) I had faith, I believed in myself and I had to create that belief in myself. It's not like I had it from day one, I just honed in on it, and the more work I did on myself, the more I believed in myself. So I get there and I'm like working four jobs when I get there, cause things are so expensive and I couldn't. For some reason I wasn't getting like a typical nine to five job. But I also wanted to make my side hustle reality. So I was waking up, you know, at 6 AM, going from six to noon, um, working at a juice bar.

21:40 I would always work at juice bars cause I loved healthy food and I could get it for free and like a $15 salad was just like too expensive for me at the time. So I'd work at a juice bar in the mornings and then I'd go intern at this like styling agency, cause at the time my online magazine was a lot about fashion and stuff and I was getting paid like eight pounds an hour there. That was on the other side of town. And then at like 6 PM I'd go rush home, get changed and then I was babysitting this like Italian family at night and then, after the kids went to sleep, I'd like work on my online magazine, and some days I would do like dog walking, some days I would just I was always just doing random things.

22:14 My hustle had a hustle. I was also on this random website that was like, oh, like, if you need voice actors or like you know, like a model or whatever, and I was just. I remember once I actually got this gig cause they needed a Canadian voice and I got paid like 300 pounds for the day or something which was insane for me like solid at that time and they just needed me to read part of like a book or some like random thing and my Canadian accent.

22:38 This is the first time I was ever really in front of a microphone and I was like 20 years old or something and, um, I remember they said to me, cause I did it all in one take and they were all you know behind the glass and they were like, wow, we were like this isn't a voice for me, this is just me talking.

22:51 - Chase (Host) So it's probably pretty easy.

22:53 - Mimi (Host) And they said to me wow, you should do something with audio. Like you're really good at this little do they know? You know, my whole company is based around audio now. But, um, you know little things would happen that I now look back I'm like, oh, that's cute. But uh, going back to the point, you know what I was trying to originally say.

23:10 I know what transformation is like without activations. I've experienced it. And I know what transformation is like with activations. The trajectory, if you look like it's like a graph. You know the bell curve of my transformation when I started listening to these activations and everyday moments was like crazy, just transforming. Trying to do all the other things. It was slow growth but transforming with activations. What it just? There's something that clicked inside of me and I started changing very quickly. The results of my life started changing very quickly and you know it. Just, it took me, you know, a couple of years to really start seeing the change and now it's like the bell curve, right. I'm like. I feel like I'm really at the top of the bell curve right now because every single month that passes, big transformation is still happening and I'm and I'm happy with the life I'm living, but the more that I do this and I live this you know way of personal development, the better life gets.

24:04 - Chase (Host) Well, you, you, you like, personify it tremendously.

24:07 It just like oozes out of you, uh, through your story, and kind of like what you have found to work for you and a lot of other people. So, speaking of other people, I want to kind of just bring it back to the listener right now and they might be thinking you know, this all sounds great, um, and I, I know that I want more for myself and my life and maybe my family. But on the other side of change, there is fear for a lot of people because you transformation, change Like you can't even think about the word without imagining a before and an after, and I think a lot of people get caught up in that journey or, before they even start, they don't even start because there's more fear around what awaits them on the other side than where they are right now. And so my question for you around that is what do you think most people are afraid of calling into their life? Because it means they will actually have to finally take action or potentially lose some relationships or comforts in their current life.

25:08 Everything, everything everything is uncomfortable to change because we love stability.

25:15 - Mimi (Host) As humans, like we want to hold on to what we know, and even if that next step forward is going to bring us such a better life, it is hard. So that's why doing the work of becoming who you want to be first makes it so much more effortless to transform, because you're already priming your brain Um and every so, from body, like I used to be like 30 pounds heavier, like I didn't feel good, I had like an eating disorder, I was like you know, like had bulimia, like I had a really bad like time when I was younger and uh, you know that that feeling of you know having now like the health and the body and the relationship with food and myself that I could ever dream of it, just it. Back then it felt so far away and it also felt just like really hard and really uncomfortable and unattainable and also just like unfamiliar when it comes to finances. You know, like I was living paycheck to paycheck a lot, and then you know I had always manifested kind of instability in my um you know, uh, earning, because then I started gaining an audience online in my early twenties and I would do brand deals and that was like what I relied on and some months it'd be zero, some months it'd be like 3,000. Sometimes it would be. You know, just, it was very. There was a lot of fluctuation. And then I realized that's not what I want. I want something stable.

26:32 And then I created a you know SaaS company, reoccurring revenue every month. So I decided then, you know, because I knew instability with finances my whole life. I knew it, it was what I knew from day one. And then I had to go and actually consciously change things inside of me to then feel energetically aligned and comfortable with the version of me that makes consistent large sums every month. So yes, it's uncomfortable, but what you kind of alluded to before is it the which is more uncomfortable? The fear of staying in the same place and looking back five years later and realizing nothing's really changed, or the fear of doing something slightly uncomfortable and actually transforming your life?

27:14 - Chase (Host) So that's the most powerful question I think we might ask today. Yeah, or someone could think for themselves today Absolutely.

27:40 - Mimi (Host) I wanted to do, or I like, with regret, any regret, whether it's, you know, staying with the wrong person, whether it's, um, not living to my potential and not helping as many people as I could, that that fear of waking up in my old age and looking back on this one chance that we have this one life, that that makes me so sick, with like, with discomfort, that that actually is more uncomfortable to me than not doing the thing.

28:02 - Chase (Host) Absolutely. I think one of the most uncomfortable and transformational things someone could do is to imagine your day today is the last day you have on earth. Immediately, I bet you're going to be flooded with a regret, if not a series of regrets. So change it. Live the opposite way. Series of regrets, so change it. You know, live the opposite way of your regrets. Change anything that you're not proud of, anything that you wish that you did at least once or more of like. Literally here today is your permission, slip your opportunity to be at the end of your life today and transform it for tomorrow.

28:35 All right, fam, let's talk gut health, because if you're like me, you've had those moments. Look, you eat a big meal, you're feeling great and then boom, bloated, sluggish and wondering why your pants suddenly hate you. I've been there and I thought, okay, maybe I need to detox, maybe I need to change something up in my diet, Maybe I need to cut out everything fun. But then I found something that actually works Peaks Pure Tea. And I'm not kidding when I say this stuff has changed the game. 31:27 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, exactly, and I actually been thinking about our mortality and death a lot recently. I don't know.

31:34 - Chase (Host) Okay, we'll get dark, it's fine.

31:36 - Mimi (Host) Memento Mori, you know you know I just We'll get dark. It's fine Memento Mori, you know. You know, I just it's just been something on my mind Like not, it's not like anything has happened to anyone that I love, thank goodness. But I just I think about it and I think about how precious life is and how we just don't remember how how precious this one chance is and it it really makes you come back and just start living more. And my whole thing is I want to feel alive as much as possible. I don't want to feel numb, and the things that cause numbing is, you know, doom, scrolling, overeating, drinking drugs giving away your power and your choice?

32:14 Yeah, being connected to yourself, like just doing things Cause you've always done them, and then feeling alive. I love doing things that make me feel alive, whether it's like you know, romanticizing life, like this morning I was listening to like jazz while having my little morning routine and journaling, and just like being present and connecting with myself, having great conversations. You know listening to certain music or activations or podcasts that make you feel alive. You know working out like moving, being in nature, just being so present, being with people you love. You know I saw on Instagram you just had a new baby. Congratulations.

32:46 Thank you, thank you and I'm sure you feel so alive when you're holding your baby and the most in your love bubble.

32:52 That's so beautiful and I'm so excited for that phase of life. But, um, hopefully later this year after I get married. But but yeah, I just cause that's what's important. When I think about death, I'm like I just want to like have a family and do the things that are actually important, you know, and uh yeah, so just I've been thinking about it. It's just been kind of resonant in the back of my mind. Just this feeling of life is so short and like we're not promised a whole life. I, you know, hope that I live full, full life. I'll do all the stem cells, all the things I want to live to 130.

33:25 - Chase (Host) Okay, I'm here, but you know, my next guest this afternoon is a stem cell specialist. Well, hit me up with that person. After cause. I manifested this one in yeah.

33:34 - Mimi (Host) I want to live a long time, but I also can't control what happens sometimes to myself and people I love. So it's just like every single moment is so precious and we have to remember that we forget it. Why do we forget it all the time?

33:46 - Chase (Host) It's a really good question and I think it's um honestly, we, whether we realize it or not, we're, we're taking it for granted.

33:53 - Mimi (Host) Yeah.

33:54 - Chase (Host) We're taking every day, every opportunity. We're taking the job that we have, even if we hate it, for granted. We're taking the relationship we're in, even if we feel like it's not serving us or we're serving them the most. We're taking it for granted the car that we have or don't have, you know, the transportation, the pet, anything and everything you have. If you wake up and you get out of bed and you don't have a semblance of gratitude or even just awareness around the things people places in your life, there's a level of taking it for granted. And if we can remind ourselves of what we do have, there's also the reminder of where we can go from there.

34:28 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, absolutely yeah, it's. It's heavy to think about, but it's so important and you know just, I took eight months off of social media last year.

34:41 - Chase (Host) Eight months. Yeah, wow, that's incredible. Yeah, how was it?

34:44 - Mimi (Host) It was fucking amazing. Like I felt so alive every day and I realized it's not like I was doom scrolling all day, like I have a business, I'm busy I wasn't, you know, on Instagram for hours and hours a day, but it's just having that there and then becoming addicted to like when you have two minutes or you're feeling a feeling that that's uncomfortable and you just want to numb out.

35:05 - Chase (Host) I think I might be bored, so let me just.

35:07 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, exactly, so I actually forgot the feeling of being bored and I realized I need to not forget that.

35:13 - Chase (Host) Yeah, it's so important about that, so much.

35:15 - Mimi (Host) That's where creativity comes. You know you need boredom and also like my best business ideas or what, how I need to like restructure something or just like something that comes to me. You know that is valuable. It never comes when I'm distracted. It always comes when I give myself that room for like space and creativity. And that's why I love like journaling. I used to do it every single morning. I don't as much anymore, but I do it every single morning.

35:43 I don't as much anymore but I do it a couple of times a week and I just, I just don't know what I'm going to write until I sit down and write and it's really, it feels good because it just gives you that, yeah, so I don't remember where we were going to with this.

35:49 - Chase (Host) Let me bring it back in, because actually, you know, I'm not going to ask you to talk about stem cells.

35:53 - Mimi (Host) We're going to save that for the next episode.

35:56 - Chase (Host) But, uh, it's so funny you say that, Um, so I want to talk about the science of this a little bit. You know, as you've kind of we've been sharing now your personal experience and what I think a lot of people if they look up, um, you know, looking stepping into your highest self manifestation, meditations, you're going to hear some similar stories and more of that qualitative aspect of personal growth and transformation. But what in your journey have you found through the lens of science? What does science say about all this? What have you researched or discovered around why mindset work must go beyond affirmations?

36:29 - Mimi (Host) So there's a lot of different ways we could go about this. And just to preface, before I get into this conversation, like I'm still trying to explore what I believe when it comes to spirituality, you know religion, like atheists, like I don't know, I'm kind of, I'm just open. You know, and this is what I write in my book as well, I share so many different, you know lenses. I share proof from kind of every or many different modalities and what I like to say is you know, manifestation, whatever you want to call it, the act of getting what you want by becoming the type of person that has it, can actually be proven with every modality. You know Christians will call it prayer, spiritualists will call it the law of attraction, scientists might call it quantum physics. You know an atheist might call it the placebo effect. So there's actually science or not science, but proof everywhere, no matter which way you want to look at it.

37:20 - Chase (Host) We're all saying the same thing, just using different words. Exactly.

37:23 - Mimi (Host) Yes, and I think I lean more into, like, the science and the spiritual kind of together. I don't believe in a lot of, you know, the more fluffy spiritual stuff that's just saying that if you do a vision board you're going to get it. No, I believe in and and if you transform your identity and you become the type of person that has it, then, yes, you attract it. And maybe you know the certain theories in quantum physics are correct where like attracts like. Well, we actually know that. That is true. But scientists have actually also been able to measure the biofield around our body and you know our biofields are intermingling right now.

37:59 - Chase (Host) We can sense each other's energy. Our electromagnetic field emits about six feet, uh, I think specifically from the heart yeah so you ever? You know, when you walk into a room where you feel like an off vibe or a good vibe with somebody. You're literally feeling that energetic exchange within that six feet radius six to actually 20 feet they've measured oh wow, okay, all right, we're moving up. All right, yeah, moving up. Yeah, we're moving up, I guess if your energy is very expansive. But um, yeah, you've definitely got a 20 foot radius, thanks.

38:24 - Mimi (Host) You too, um, but that's the same feeling you get when you walk into the room and or like if someone walks into the room and you're facing the other way, like you feel you feel energy and you know everything is energy, isn't it? Just zero point, something, percent matter, and then the rest of the atom is like almost all energy, and we can't, we can't just say that doesn't exist because we can't see it, you know. So that is something I definitely have seen proven when it comes to more psychology and self-image psychology and just how the brain works. I guess you could also say the placebo effect has a huge effect, right?

39:03 - Chase (Host) Oh, it's a proven medical effect. It actually works in healthcare surgical patients Absolutely yeah.

39:09 - Mimi (Host) So the more you believe in something, the more that's actually going to be a reality. So what I actually believe is whatever you deeply believe is actually the truth for you, because if you deeply believe that the world is a certain way, you're going to find reasons everywhere to prove that to you. We have something in our brains called the RAS, the reticular activating system. It's essentially a filtration system for our brain, for our thoughts, and it looks at our beliefs. It looks at how we see the world and it essentially presents us information.

39:38 - Chase (Host) This is our brains operating system.

39:40 - Mimi (Host) Yeah Well one, a filtration system essentially in our brains, and it shows us consciously information that aligns with our thoughts, beliefs and you know ideas of the world. So, for example, if you're looking to buy, you know this new watch or this new water bottle or whatever it is, and you start just seeing it everywhere because you're consciously noticing it.

39:59 You probably have heard of the red car example awareness theory right yeah, and like if you're thinking of buying a red convertible and you see it everywhere, it's not because they're manufacturing it more, it's simply because you're noticing it. If we didn't have ras in our brains like we would, literally our brains would explode with information because there's so much information everywhere. You'd notice, oh, the color of that seat, you know. You'd notice the air conditioning sound over there. You'd notice, just like everything.

40:23 - Chase (Host) You'd be so overstimulated we can't take all that information in and actually process it, and definitely not in real time no, no, no, no.

40:30 - Mimi (Host) So that's why the ras is important, but it does not serve us when we feed it the wrong things or the things that we do not want to create more of. So when I used to have the victim mentality and I'm sure so many people can relate to this um, you know, I would look for reasons and I would see reasons why I was a victim. Oh, that happened, that person rejected me, or that job didn't come in, or I failed. That you know. And I'm like, of course, because I'm the victim.

40:57 - Chase (Host) How many people say that? Oh, of course this would happen to me, of course I didn't get the job. Of course they broke up with me.

41:02 - Mimi (Host) Of course my car broke down. Yeah, or I'm just unlucky. You know, that's how the whole. I don't know if you've heard of the whole lucky girl syndrome thing on Tik TOK.

41:09 - Chase (Host) No, what's that?

41:10 - Mimi (Host) More my demographic, I guess, but um I'm not really on the talk, I'm not that much either, but it it went pretty viral.

41:18 It's essentially just, um, you know girls who start talking about, oh, I'm, I'm going to embody my lucky girl energy, I'm going to have lucky girl syndrome, I'm going to go get that right parking spot or I'm going to, you know, like good things always happen to me, just embodying this belief of good things always happen to me. And then they started sharing stories online, all these people, about how they actually got that thing. So it's the same type of thing. If you feel like you're not a lucky person, like I know people that just say, oh, of course, that, like my sister, for example, like a bird will, like you know, do its business on her and like, well, she's walking, she's like of course that's supposed to be good luck actually no-transcript, and that's just a belief shift and that will program your RAS to start seeing opportunity.

42:09 Also, if you are listening, say to like a wealth activation, we have a lot about money on the app, we have targeted visualizations.

42:15 You know specific amounts of money to try to embody that energy of, and targeted visualizations, specific amounts of money to try to embody that energy of. And if you start to really believe that this amount of money is coming your way and you already have it and you're already thinking about what you're going to do with it, how much you're going to invest, how much you're going to save, how much you're going to put towards rent, whatever it is, your mind is now being primed like I'm wealthy. And then if you walk into an event or a room full of people and you see someone there that might have a good like business collaboration idea for you or whatever it is, you're actually going to notice opportunity, whereas in the past, if you just think you're a victim and bad things happen to you, you're actually not even going to notice those opportunities. So can you imagine like it is? The time is now to change, because every day, you're actually missing out on opportunities by not thinking this way.

43:02 - Chase (Host) Oh, I think that that's my, that's my sound clip right there. I love that. I mean just to kind of close this point. This is where I think a lot of people get hung up on change and transformation and personal development. You think, well, we know, like we just talked about, you do need to step into this different form of identity and thinking, but let's just let's take the easy way right now. Let's not change anything. Let's just change how you're doing, when you're doing the same things that you're currently doing. What I mean by that?

43:28 is you stub your toe, you get a parking ticket. You, you know, whatever that you would go oh, of course this happens to me. Take that same philosophy, those same two words, of course to me. Take that same philosophy, those same two words, of course. And shift it to whenever anything in a positive light happens. You get a front row parking or you get anything closer than what you normally get. Instead of the last parking spot, you get mid row, of course. Just start incrementally. You find a quarter in the couch, of course, start manifesting, start thinking you're the person that just draws in money.

44:00 - Mimi (Host) Your boss gives you a compliment or says that was a great presentation. Yeah, I know.

44:04 - Chase (Host) You get one extra rep in the gym. You hold your yoga pose for two seconds longer. If that, just take anything and everything else in your life and just use that same mentality and begin to condition your mind, your consciousness and your entire fiber of being into being, into going. Oh, my way of thinking also exists in this other plane and now I'm just shifting my consciousness to more in a positive light when I'm drawing in, instead of just like negative, negative, negative, negative yes, it takes me back to my old like health coaching habits of just you know it's like habit stacking kind of thing.

44:38 You know a person's like I stacking kind of thing. You know a person's like I don't want to, or I can't go to the gym, or I can't create a whole new meal, like well, walk us through your day, what are you doing? What are you? What are you doing? What are you creating? You know time places everything and just like, just change what you're already doing before trying to add in all this extra new stuff.

44:54 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, yeah, absolutely, and also when. On the topic of habit stacking, this is the other reason why a lot of people like to listen to activations as opposed to a meditation, because you can actually habit stack it.

45:06 We have like every type of category in the app from listening to these audios in everyday moments like when you're brushing your teeth in the morning, when you're walking the dog in the morning, in these, these daily routine moments, you actually change so much faster than if you listen to them just with your eyes closed, because you're actually practicing being your future self in these everyday moments. And we've all heard of the Pavlov's dog theory, you know Pavlov rings the bell, the dog salivates.

45:42 Exactly so. The same thing happens with activations. If you're listening to a 10 minute walking activation every morning, when you're taking your dog around the block and you feel unlimited and you feel confident and you feel positive and wealthy and happy and just like your best self, soon enough you actually won't even need the walking activation to feel that way, so it primes your brain and I listened to the getting ready category a lot.

46:08 You know, this morning I was getting ready. I just listened to one of my favorites called embody your magnetic or embody magnetic manifestation energy, which is one, a general one, that just like feels really good and the music is insane Like. One of the other things about these activations is we work with these movie composers. It's completely different to anything else out there. Um so music is actually incredibly powerful when it comes to transforming you. You know I work with a composer. I'm actually seeing him this afternoon cause he's composing the song that I'm walking down the aisle to the summer, when I get married.

46:40 - Chase (Host) Oh it's beautiful, yeah.

46:41 - Mimi (Host) So I literally I told myself I just want to live in an activation on that day but he does a lot of compositions for movies and TV shows. I tell him he's like the next Hans Zimmer, he's so talented, and basically he tells me that these like directors or producers tell him how they want the audience to feel in a certain point in a movie.

47:03 - Chase (Host) What emotion do we need to evoke, exactly beyond what they're just watching?

47:05 - Mimi (Host) yeah, so he will then create based off of what he wants to trigger inside the audience. So the same thing that we do with the work with him, like I have my audio engineers know this every single activation that goes out needs to feel like you're transforming, like you're moving towards something, like you're evolving, like you're becoming your future self, and that's honestly such a big part of how these activations are so powerful. It's the music, it's this like experience, it's a whole audio experience that just makes you feel a very different way by the end of it. And like I don't know if you've seen um, I saw this video ones online. It was really funny. It was like a Harry Potter scene and like they put like sexy music behind it and it's like just the power of how music can completely change a vibe.

47:51 And I honestly think about that Like it's so true, so anyway it reminds me of a few months ago.

47:58 - Chase (Host) I had an episode with Ray Kelly. He's the founder and creator of this incredibly beautiful For a second.

48:04 - Mimi (Host) I thought you meant like R Kelly.

48:06 - Chase (Host) No, no, no, no no, no, no, no, definitely not. I was like okay. No, ray Kelly who technically is also an R Kelly, but Ray Kelly is an Australian engineer. Comes from like the exercise science rehabilitation space, created this company called Tursa, or this sound meditation bed called Tursa it's incredibly immersive experience that's like a vibrationally acoustic cocoon thing that is custom created with just this epic soundtrack this journey.

48:35 - Mimi (Host) Amazing.

48:36 - Chase (Host) And he hit home on the same thing you're talking about. Think about your favorite movie. Now go watch your favorite movie, your favorite scene, but cut out the score you know that that, that symphony that orchestra the horns, the background music, whatever it is. Like you pull that out, it's not the same emotion.

48:52 - Mimi (Host) Interstellar without the no, no, no, any, uh, any uh, uh.

48:59 - Chase (Host) Christopher Nolan movie. Excuse me, any Christopher Nolan movie without the soundtrack. Like that man knows what he's doing. I mean, he's an incredible writer and filmmaker. But, like, pay attention to any Nolan movie, it all starts with an incredible score.

49:10 - Mimi (Host) Yeah, and then you can live your life every day Like you're in your own movie and you're the character that's about to just transform everything, reach all their goals and achieve that big life. And that's what I wanted to do with activations.

49:22 - Chase (Host) So you call them quote activations, not meditations.

49:26 - Mimi (Host) No, it's not meditation, it's activation because it's it's an active and you know, in visualization we say act as if a lot. So when we developed the word activations, I actually worked with my product team for like three months. We did all these user research interviews. We're like, let's figure out the word Okay, and activations just was the word because it creates this positive mental model. When someone hears about it for the first time, they're like, oh, meditation, activation. But it's different, it's active, it's act as if it's. You know, just a different feeling in the word.

49:57 - Chase (Host) So act as if it's you know, just a different feeling in the word. So people nowadays might hear that and think it's a new CPG launch. Yeah, no, I guess my work in marketing might think it's an activation like that.

50:04 - Mimi (Host) but uh, but yeah, no, and then we got activationscom. We, you know, trademarked everything. We, you know, just put our flag in the sand saying this is the new type of audio that we've developed. And, um, yeah, we've definitely had some bad copies, but uh, they just don't work because the energy, like I always think that if someone copies someone else, um, you know, obviously there's no longevity from like a legal copyright perspective, a lot of the time, but it's just never going to be as good as the original because, like, the intention and the energy behind it is not authentic.

50:36 - Chase (Host) so you don't have the same source code yeah, you don't know, you can mimic but you have no idea. It's like a bad copy, yeah.

50:43 - Mimi (Host) So I always tell people, when I give you know entrepreneurial advice or whatever business advice, if they, if they ever ask, it's like just create something really unique and new, and I've always, just as a business person, really um been interested in in either investing or being involved in businesses that are category creators. I read this book called play bigger and it's a very good book.

51:06 Yeah, so it's all about category creation, um, becoming a category King and basically like just getting yourself kind of outside of this realm of competition by simply creating a new category and, um, that's, that's kind of what I've done, and I read this book a couple of years ago, like after I've already launched what I was doing, so it was good confirmation. But that's really, I think, the way to make it big in business and the way cause you also don't have to invest as much into marketing, cause when people hear about you, they're like oh, that's the one place you can get that one thing Exactly.

51:36 - Chase (Host) Yes, that's such a good point.

51:38 - Mimi (Host) Such a good point.

51:39 - Chase (Host) So I want to kind of like dive deeper, go under the hood with you a little bit on your activations. If you'd be willing to share what is your daily number one activation that you never miss.

51:49 - Mimi (Host) So okay, I'm going to be honest and say I'm not that routine of a person.

51:52 - Chase (Host) Okay, what would you say? Maybe what is your number one that you go to most often?

51:56 - Mimi (Host) It's the one I mentioned earlier. I go through phases, though, so I'll go. I'll listen to one for like a couple months and that will be my obsession. I'm kind of the person like if I find a song I like, I just listen to it till I can't listen to it anymore, and then I just moved to the next. But a lot of our users use new ones every day. A lot go to their top 10.

52:13 I use like five that I you know, at a time that I get really obsessed with and then I kind of just move on. I also, of course, we have categories in the app, but I I'll listen to, like a walking one while I'm getting ready or while I'm cooking or while I'm doing something else, just because I use it interchangeably. We have categories there just to help guide people, but, um, I love listening. Like we have, you know, these really incredible morning ones, like just unlimited self in the morning getting ready. That I really love. Like morning is my time to activate, because before would you take us to one of those moments.

52:46 - Chase (Host) If you can, maybe let's. I want the listener to kind of like end me, to like to drop in with you, kind of like it's your morning routine.

52:52 - Mimi (Host) Okay, the music's a big point. What is the?

52:54 - Chase (Host) vibe, what's the environment? You'll help us kind of paint this picture okay, okay, okay.

52:58 - Mimi (Host) So I usually will listen with headphones because just the music experience is so much more immersive. That being said, this morning when I was getting ready, I just had it on speaker on my phone. But, um, I'll usually put in my headphones and whether I'm getting ready or just kind of like cleaning the room, like waking up, I'm just in a hotel right now, obviously, so different routine to when I'm back home, um, but I I often will wake up and kind of just like pop one on um, because, you know, instead of mindlessly scrolling and I want something to kind of help me wake up, so I'll just pop one on and we have an autoplay feature. So it kind of just like goes through. A lot. Before example, this morning I had it on the speaker or just on my bathroom counter while I was getting ready and kind of just had it while I was getting dressed and, you know, had it going on in the background, um, but when I want more of that like full immersive experience, I'll put headphones in. I actually forgot my AirPods. I was going to listen. I had a 30 minute drive here. I was going to listen to one on the way, um, but I forgot.

53:54 But anyway, so that I'll for to be more immersive, I'll do headphones, but I love our walking activations. There's one called become your magnetic future self, and it is so good and it is like a walking activation, you can listen to it in any moment, but it's so life-changing Like I genuinely I've had so many people message me about it too, saying that it's just changed their life and, yeah, so that one's really good. And then there are more specific ones Like we have. I spoke to one of our super users, um, or I didn't speak to her, but I was watching a video. We do a lot of like user research interviews and, um, I was watching her video that she did with one of my team members and they were asking oh, like, how do you use activations, like what's your favorite one? And she listens to the one, like en route to a big meeting, you know, like to kind of prep you before a big meeting. She listens to it every day, even when there's no meetings.

54:44 - Chase (Host) Well, every day is a big meeting. If you get this mentality, every day you wake up, you got the gift of another day. Like that's a big meeting. What?

54:51 - Mimi (Host) are you going to do with it? How are you?

54:52 - Chase (Host) going to use it to your advantage.

54:54 - Mimi (Host) And then I also use like we have a few minutes, I'll pop one of those on Um I also love we have these more like jazzy cooking activations. We have a few like most of our music's very cinematic, but we have a few that have slightly different genres. And I just like love to romanticize life, it's just my thing. And um I, I just like love to romanticize life, it's just my thing, why not? And um I like the jazzy kind of nighttime ones or cooking ones, just to wind down. But I'm more of a morning activation person because they energize me. We have sleep activations like we even have like eight hour long tracks that help reprogram your mind while you sleep. But I actually I, I don't you got that part covered?

55:37 yeah, I'm okay, yeah, but we have a lot of users that swear by those.

55:41 - Chase (Host) I want to ask you a couple more here on your activation use. What activation do you go to when you have fear or doubt about the future? The future meaning today or the rest of the year.

55:53 - Mimi (Host) So most we have a lot that are general, like live your future Now, um, we have just so many that are more just becoming who you want to Now, um, we have just so many that are more just becoming who you want to be. And then you will kind of, in that activation, remember that feeling, because what I teach is that you want to get clear on your future self-frequency. And that was the first step of the equation clarity that I was alluding to earlier, and I'll get to the second step at some point later in this conversation. Um, so, for me, when I'm feeling like I'm unaligned with my future self whether it's doubt, fear, lack of confidence, whatever it is any of these activations that just helped me drop into this future self frequency will help me. So, honestly, there's not one specific one.

56:33 - Chase (Host) We have like reduced fear and doubt, we have like very specific but you still get these kind of moments of fear and doubt and uncertainty of your future even at this point, oh, my gosh Of course, yeah, but I just have.

56:44 - Mimi (Host) I bounce back really quickly. You know I talk about the bounce back rate. That's something else that I talk about in my book, that's something else that I, you know, have developed over the years. The bounce back rate, and it's essentially the measure of how long you wait before you bounce back to being your best self after you've fallen off track, because perfection is just not a good measure of success, like there is not one super successful person that got there by being perfect. I don't even think anyone's ever even had a quote perfect day where they wake up exactly at 5am, they don't have one negative thought. All day they ate organic and perfectly portioned food. All day. They, you know, like, you know, didn't, they didn't procrastinate at all, they didn't have a moment of falling off grace, you know. So I don't think that exists, and please show me someone that says that they have perfect days.

57:29 - Chase (Host) If that's you, please contact me. I would love to have you on the show. I would love to learn your secrets and your ways. Thank, you.

57:34 - Mimi (Host) So, yes, exactly. So the reality is no one's perfect and it's a really bad way to measure success and I I'm a recovering perfectionist, for sure, and in the early days of my transformation I'd be so hard on myself and I actually had to achieve success to look back and realize wait, I can achieve success without being perfect. I had to do it myself to realize it's actually not how the world works. So I developed this term, the bounce back rate, and it's all about um it's. We have the third part of my book activate your future self.

58:06 Um. The first part is clarity. The second part is becoming, which I can get into. That's the second step to transformation. And then the whole third part of the book is maintaining, and we talk about the bounce back rate a lot and how to measure yours, and essentially you should just be focusing. Instead of focusing on perfection, you should be focusing on your balance back rate, so how quickly you can get back on the bandwagon after falling off track. So back in the day when I first started my journey personal transformation my balance back rate would be like three months sometimes.

58:33 You know like I would like a failure, or just not hitting a goal that you wanted and you would be on track being my future self, being who I want to be, and you know, I would just like drop off and it's like, oh, I should probably get back on the bandwagon. It took months. That was at the very beginning of my journey, but now it's like a second, you know, a lot of the time. Sometimes it's a whole day If something really bad happens and I'm like just not feeling good, but a lot of the time it's like within minutes and my bounce back rate is a muscle Like it's a muscle we can all train. But it's a very good measure of how successful you'll become is how short your bounce back rate is.

59:08 - Chase (Host) You know what you're actually describing here as a physiological term and it's called a HRV heart rate variability.

59:15 So heart rate variability is actually something I track here with my woot activity tracker. You can, you know certain I think certain other wearables would do it as well. But what it measures is what's going on is there's no perfect rhythm between your heartbeat and mine of you know, in between each beat there's a slight variance of that rhythm. It's not exactly always 60 beats per minute or 52 or whatever it is for you. There's a variance between that 52 or whatever it is for you. There's a variance between that.

59:41 And what that variance is is your heart and your central nervous system going from parasympathetic to sympathetic, going from fight or flight or rest and digest to on high alert, high stress. I got to like engage every muscle of my body to run away from the saber tooth tiger or a horrible boss. Or I'm chilling, drinking some tea on the couch at home, I'm relaxed, and so the higher the variance, the more resilience we have, the more physiological resilience we have, and so what you're describing is kind of more like the qualitative state. Now, it doesn't mean that just by thinking or acting on how long I allow myself to dip away from my higher self or get back to my norm or get back on track. When we do that long enough, it actually directly influences our HRV and our nervous system, because what we're really doing there is controlling cortisol.

01:00:27 We're controlling stress and we're allowing our body to experience stress and letting our physical self and our consciousness to kind of connect those dots and go. Okay, this is just a temporary state. I don't have to stay here. Then you choose mentally to get your body and your life really back on track. So, like to our earlier point, there is a scientific explanation for all of what we're talking about here.

01:00:51 But think about it Like you can't really advance in your life, you can't choose to advance in your life, if you're allowing your body to stay in such a heightened arousal, heightened stress, heightened cortisol state, like you can only push it so far before it's going to break. There's a certain level of balance, a dance even of of like the mind and the body. You've got to train both at the same time, and that's exactly what we're talking about here.

01:01:16 - Mimi (Host) I've been working on that a lot lately stress, and that was actually something that wasn't included in my future self persona for a while, Cause I'm like oh, whatever I want to be, you know, happy and successful.

01:01:28 - Chase (Host) You weren't saying like, oh, I'm stress-free.

01:01:30 - Mimi (Host) I didn't think about it as much Cause I've always been like a very hyperactive person, but this, the past year, it's been a huge focus of mine. I've intertwined it into my future self-frequency. The feeling of peace no, like being not stressed yeah, the feeling of peace, because I've definitely struggled with stress and especially being a business owner and you know so many things happening at all the times it's like it's hard. It was hard not to be, so I had to practice what I preach and become the type of person, the type of leader, that stays calm and grounded in times of, you know, craziness within the business. If you know someone quits or this like processing system goes down and we have to figure out crazy last minute what we're going to do and or whatever it is Like. I own a tech company. I'm not a technical person.

01:02:16 - Chase (Host) It's hard for me a lot of the time. So what do you do? What's your? What's your go-to grounding, de-stressing technique to like? Get you out of that as quick as possible?

01:02:25 - Mimi (Host) Okay, so first thing I'll do is put my phone away, cause I'm the type of person that, to like when I'm getting anxious, I just need to act, I need to do, I need to fix, I need to. But I've learned and actually my fiance, fiance Ben, has taught me a lot about this is being able to just like, not answer right away, and like take a beat yeah. Like he's so cool, calm, collected. I'm so like, okay, I need to you know never underestimate the power of a pause.

01:02:52 It's something I've really recently learned. It's so powerful, and I was also listening to a podcast the other day, like the Diary of a CEO podcast. He had this guy God, what's his name? Oh, Jefferson Fisher or something. He's like a trial lawyer. That was a really good episode. You should definitely listen to it and he was talking about how to like win in arguments and how to, like you know, actually resolve conversations he's all about. You know how to have better arguments essentially oh, you should check out Chris Voss as well.

01:03:22 - Chase (Host) Okay, I think he's been on diary of a CEO. I had him on years ago.

01:03:25 - Mimi (Host) He's a master FBI hostage negotiator His book.

01:03:27 - Chase (Host) this will change your life. Uh, never split the difference.

01:03:30 - Mimi (Host) It's like the art.

01:03:31 - Chase (Host) It's like a. Never split the difference. I forget the subtext, but basically it's introduction to the negotiations you have in your life every day, outside of just like a job or the boardroom. Get that book, okay. I think I have it on my shelf and I haven't read it.

01:03:46 - Mimi (Host) But that's I will for sure. But, yeah, even this guy on the podcast was saying how the best thing to do in conversations, if someone says something or whatever it is, it's just to pause for a few seconds and be okay with the discomfort of, you know, silence and also just responding to emails and and that are important, or thinking about the decision I need to make next, like it's okay to take a day to just think about it, cause the next day you also often have a new perspective. Um, so yeah, I've been. I've been learning a lot about that. That's something I'm currently trying to work on. Good yeah, good yeah.

01:04:21 - Chase (Host) Good Well, best wishes to you and your de-stressing journey.

01:04:24 Um, this has been incredible. Kind of getting towards the end here. I have a few more questions. I want to bring it back to clarity a little bit, if I can. We hear that word, it's used a lot. I have struggled with it over the years and I know people say just get clear to what you want, get clarity as to your goals or the day that you're living, or the life that you're living, or who you have and the money that you're making. Well, if I could do that then I wouldn't be having this conversation. So I think getting clarity for a lot of people is really where they struggle. So what do you do when you begin to get this clarity of your higher self and your life begins to form into what you have always wanted, but those around you are not also building or stepping into their highest self, like I think outside influence is one of the biggest struggles for getting clarity because it's probably quickly to be diminished or extinguished by others.

01:05:12 But also to that point, how do we help those that we love and care about in our journey to getting clarity, or do they have to do it themselves?

01:05:20 - Mimi (Host) A lot to answer here. The first thing is that we can't control other people as much as we want to. We can't. So just being an example of the best version of ourselves is going to help the world and the people around you in bigger ways than you even know how. The only focus should be on yourself and as much as you want to change other people. And I was telling a friend this, you know, the other night when I saw her. She's been having, you know, relationship problems and she's saying, oh, but he just has to change and become this. And I was telling her that she's never going to achieve that. That's not where her focus should be. How she acts actually changes how he acts and, um, how he, how he acts, or how she acts will actually change how he acts and um, just by the influence alone.

01:06:04 So, going to the first part of your question, how do you actually find clarity when it's so hard? Well, it's actually really simple. You don't need to know exactly. You know the car that your future self drives. You don't need to know exactly the amount of money they have in their investment portfolio. You don't have to know these like perfect, precise things. If it helps you to think about it like that. Great, but the only thing that matters is understanding how it feels to be your future self. So it's the feeling, it's that future self frequency, that energy inside of you of how it feels to be your future self, how it feels to have the personality, the identity, the self image of who you want to be. How does your future self hold themselves? How do they like? What's their posture Like? I always have to remind myself when I say that in podcasts.

01:06:46 - Chase (Host) I'm like okay, um you know everyone just heard that and set up straight.

01:06:50 - Mimi (Host) Exactly. How do they think, how do they move, how do they dress, how do they act, how does it feel to be them? When you first lead with how it feels to be them, all the other things kind of fall into place. So, for example, my future self, uh, frequency, it's very abundant, like I have more than I would ever need. It's this feeling of awe towards the world, seeing the magic in the world. It's feeling of love and joy and presentness and just being so happy and unlimited. So what does that actually look like in real life? It's okay, like how much money would I need to have to feel like I could do anything? And for me it would be different to someone else listening, you know. So I would say lead with how it feels and you can always adjust that. You can always adjust your future self-frequency and to create it.

01:07:34 I have a lot of different activations on the app to help you like create your future self-frequency, from like writing activations on the app to help you like create your future self-frequency, from like writing. Activations that help you write it out. To just like listening, you know audio activations, um, but the gist of it is that you want to basically figure out the top, like three to five feelings that you embody with your future self-frequency. So for me it's like abundance, wealth, whatever that means to you, um, or both, you know, I guess and then joy, love, awe and bliss and unlimitedness, whatever. Those are just maybe six or seven of them, and then you would combine that all together into one like unique frequency. So how that works, you you know, listening to the activation will really help, cause you kind of like go through each step but you start with just one emotion and you can just feel it in your body. Even someone listening right now, whatever you're doing, you can just try to lightly do this.

01:08:23 So let's say, love is the first kind of foundational feeling that your future self has. Okay, so feel the feeling of love. You know what does it feel like? Your heart expands, like you feel warm. You know you might think about your family or your new baby. You might think about you know your pet, whatever it is, yourself, how much you love yourself. You know it's that feeling of love in your heart and it kind of expands all around you. It's very chest centered. We all know what love feels like, right?

01:08:48 - Chase (Host) But do we? I want to interject and kind of challenge that a little bit. Um, I'm just always trying to think of the variety of persons that might be listening and going. I want love, I see love, but I have never experienced love in the capacity to which people describe even what you're describing right now. Like I've never truly been in love, I don't feel like I have been given this kind of love. You know there could be a lot here and this kind of a blanket statement. You know it could be another victim mentality aspect but love.

01:09:16 - Mimi (Host) What would it feel like then?

01:09:17 - Chase (Host) well, yeah, love is, I think, one that I want to lean into, but also, just like you know, I don't know what it's like to to not be hungry.

01:09:24 - Mimi (Host) I don't know what it's like to not know where my next paycheck's coming from. So it's hard I think for some people to jump to you need to get creative, you have to get out of the.

01:09:31 - Chase (Host) How do we incrementally, get there and how do we get creative to things that we have no relation to?

01:09:35 - Mimi (Host) we've never felt you have to stop thinking and just start feeling like that's the thing. Stop justifying things, start, stop trying to say that you can't feel a certain way. Like just get over yourself for a minute and you've watched a movie and you felt that the love the character is feeling, so you, you can feel it, I, I'm. I'm going to sit here and not allow any limiting beliefs to be formed.

01:09:54 - Chase (Host) Begin to imagine it, imagine it, imagine it.

01:09:57 - Mimi (Host) And how you feel love is different to how I feel love. You imagine it, imagine it, and how you feel love is different to how I feel love. You know, we all, and this is why it's our unique future self-frequency, because even if I had the exact same combination of feelings as you and your frequency, I'd feel it differently because it's through my lens. So think of any moment where you felt love, or just try to imagine what it would feel like. You need to know that's the first step clarity. What is it that you want? And and what does that actually look like? How does that feel?

01:10:26 So, bringing it back to how to create it, you, let's say love is the first one. Feel it in your body to whatever capacity you can feel. And even if you can't feel beyond, just try to just picture what it would be like to feel this deep sense of love, a love for life, love for something, and then just allow that to engulf you. And then you hold onto that while bringing in the next layer of the frequency. You hold onto that love when you bring on, let's say, awe. I love the feeling of awe, like, just like, wow, the world is so cool Like I want to be on the floor.

01:10:53 - Chase (Host) Unexplicable, just wonder, just like wonder.

01:10:55 - Mimi (Host) Exactly so. Then, holding onto love, mix in the the feeling of our, whatever that next feeling is for you and it's like it slightly feels different. You still have that baseline of love but you kind of mix in this new emotion of like love plus awe and then you do that again with joy that just add in a level of joy into that and you're holding on to the base emotional frequency this and yeah, exactly and bringing on these different layers until you feel complete and you can always change it.

01:11:21 It's not, you know, set in stone your future self-frequency, Um, and then you can have the feeling of wealth, Like how does it feel to have all these beautiful emotions? Plus, you have wealth and unlimitedness and you can buy whatever you want, you can support whoever you love. You can you know what does that feel like? And then so just keep adding until it feels complete and you'll know, you know it feels really good, Like you want to live in that energy forever and then memorize that future self-frequency and simply tune into it in everyday moments, and whether that's by listening to an activation or rereading a note on your phone or a reminder, hey, be her now, be him now, be my future self Now. I often, will you know, at the beginning of my journey, I'd put like a post-it note on my water bottle saying be her now. That's all I did and it's just reminded me in these like everyday moments to be who I wanted to be in that exact moment and just tune into that frequency. And that is a very, you know, summarized way of explaining it.

01:12:16 - Chase (Host) Well, I want you guys to go back and rewind what mimi was just saying right there. That, to me, like that, is the formula for having everything you want in life. That is the formula for you to create the life that you felt you never were worthy of, but the one that you intuitively know is waiting for you. It's just waiting on you. The life that you want is waiting for you, but it's also waiting on you to take action yeah and that's the formula for it, right there.

01:12:39 - Mimi (Host) Exactly, yeah, yeah.

01:12:41 - Chase (Host) Ooh, I love it. All right. So when you get into one final area before we wrap up, we've been talking about money and you have shared how you went from having, I think, less than $10 in your bank account to side hustle, having a side hustle to now a thriving business, and you are doing what you want and about to get married and you're living all over the world and you're living in this life that you created and you worked very hard for. Let's talk about money and how can we use these activations, this mindset, this approach, this formula to draw in wealth, to draw in even hell, even $50 more today than we had yesterday, before we even get into $5 million more. What do you think is the biggest mental block you think most people have about money and how can they overcome it?

01:13:27 - Mimi (Host) Most people don't realize that they are 100% responsible for their lives. That's it. That's the simplicity in it. If you knew for a fact that you were 100% responsible for your life and anything that you wanted could happen happen, if you really did the steps that were necessary to get there, it'd be a completely new way of living. You would be able to achieve that wealth that you just desired my wealth and what I've been able to build has. It shouldn't have happened. Like I actually look back, I'm like this is weird. I'm 28 years old and I have a company worth tens of millions of dollars and I regularly do an insane amount every month and it's mostly profits, and the company is just so well positioned and it's and it's like a miracle.

01:14:11 - Chase (Host) Own that, that this has all happened. Take a second and just like own that. That's incredible. Thank you, yeah, yeah.

01:14:21 - Mimi (Host) It's um, it shouldn't, and we barely like done a lot of marketing for it too. Like just last year I started doing a little bit of paid marketing, but it's been word of mouth for the most part and it it just really puts me in that awe feeling because, looking at my life and how I started this three and a half years ago, like it shouldn't have happened. And that's not to say that you know I didn't work incredibly hard, I did. But I also like and I know how hard I worked but again bringing it back to that effortless word, like I became the type of person that makes half a million dollars a month, like that's just that's who I am.

01:14:52 And it would feel weird if I, if I, made less than that. You know what I mean. Like it, it would feel uncomfortable and if you I think it was like I had my letter like someone in the personal development space was talking about it with a certain um theory. Think about like a thermostat, okay, and let's say it's set at like 70 degrees and you put the heater on and you know the air conditioning is obviously going to crank back in to keep the temperature 70 degrees, or you open a window and something changes, but the system is defaulted to bring it back to that set point of 70 degrees. So I see identity as the exact same thing and my like standard and identity is a certain amount.

01:15:31 It feels weird if I make less and that means that I would have to, like you know, maybe do something else to earn more to have that balance. Or, um, if I made more, though, potentially I would spend to get back to that point, right? So be careful that it's all about what we're used to and comfortable with. So we have to constantly be in this place of, like, raising that standard, um, but but bringing it back to the point here, it's like it.

01:15:55 I look back on my whole journey and it happened very quickly and it shouldn't necessarily have happened, and I'm not saying that to discount all the work I've done, but it also like I'm you know it happened to me Like I'm, not some like young VC bro, like you know. So I know the work works and I'm deeply connected to the work and whether it's science, whether it's spirituality, whether it's quantum physics, like it works and I'm now really starting to get into more of these like quantum physics theories, like I, one of the new people that I like to learn a lot from um I. His book is called reality trans surfing and his name's the uh Vadim Zeland. This book is really random and it was translated from Russian and it's like this big.

01:16:40 - Chase (Host) So it's not. Yeah, it's to check out the original. What was the name of that one again, Um reality trans surfing by Vadim Zeland. Take a note on that one.

01:16:51 - Mimi (Host) So he is a quantum physicist from Russia and this is something I'm super interested in now that I've just started, you know, learning more about. So he says that there are unlimited lifelines okay, like parallel realities, unlimited lifelines at any given moment that we can tune into. How to tune into it is by aligning our energy to it. That's how I'm kind of translating what he says. It's a very complex book, but I'm kind of taking what he's saying and weaving it into everything else that I've learned. So imagine if, in any given moment, there were unlimited parallel realities existing. There is one where you know this certain thing is happening in your life and you know you live in this certain way, or you're with this person and you know there's just a whole reality here, and then there could be a completely other reality here and unlimited amounts of it. There could be a reality where you know someone's a drug addict, but then there's another reality where they are, you know, the top actor in the world and they, you know, do all these philanthropic or what's that word?

01:17:54 Philanthropic. There's a reality where I know how to say that word correctly.

01:17:58 - Chase (Host) There is a reality I just haven't tuned into it.

01:18:02 - Mimi (Host) So if you think about it that way, there's unlimited lifelines, okay, and you can tune into the lifeline you want by aligning your physical energy with that lifeline. Can you imagine if that theory is true? I kind of feel like it might be.

01:18:15 - Chase (Host) I mean, why not? I would love to just live in that hypothetical and act as if it were true, because, again to your point, placebo is very real.

01:18:23 - Mimi (Host) Exactly. So whatever you want to, you know, package it as it works. And I'm really into this guy's work because it's just so fascinating and I'm trying to practice more of it in my life and just to see what happens. But personal experience I shouldn't be here right now, and I am and the activations have not just changed my life, They've changed hundreds of thousands of people that have tried them as well and I I'm in awe every day that all feeling it happens, it happens every day to maintain and just appreciate.

01:18:50 - Chase (Host) So, if it is not abundantly clear, you definitely embody the philosophy of the show and you live a life ever forward, and my goal with every guest and every topic is to bring on stories of people that have not just kept that to themselves. They have figured it out, they have turned the obstacle into their way and now they're helping others do something similar. So to ask you directly, Amy ever forward those two words. What do they mean to you? How would you describe, how would you say that you live a life ever forward?

01:19:26 - Mimi (Host) I think being my future self now and living in a state of being the person that I've always wanted to be and living a life that they live is being ever forward, cause it's this intermingling of future and present and it's like, why do we even want things in our future to feel a certain way? Why don't you just feel that now it will help attract that thing to you more? And you're already feeling that way. It's just the way to live and it separates this lack from it so energetically. You're bringing it in closer to you from a self-image and identity perspective. You're already being that person. It's just like why wouldn't you do it this way? So that's my answer to that is be that person now. Be your future self now.

01:20:13 - Chase (Host) I love it. I always say to that there's never a right or wrong answer, there's just the one that you feel and I always try to ask. Sometimes it never a right or wrong answer, there's just the one that you, that you feel and I always try to ask. Sometimes it comes up at the front of the podcast, but I always try to ask that at the end so that, um, you know, we've had an opportunity to, like, hear your story and your philosophy and your approach to life and business and transformation, uh, and then have you kind of just use your own last hour here, uh, to translate that definitively. You, you're welcome. Where can my audience go to connect with you? I know you've got a book coming out now.

01:20:44 - Mimi (Host) Yes.

01:20:44 - Chase (Host) The AdWord, all the things. How can they get connected to you and your work?
