00:13 - Chase (Host) Oh, this is what I'm after yes, this is all the biohacking, all the fitness, all the habits.

00:17 - Kimber (Guest) Some people used to say oh, have the big blowout go into the range get it out.

00:22 But there's the research now that shows that that actually keeps the anger alive. It reinforces the neural networks versus neuroplasticity. What we're talking about in this case is rewiring. Again, the input changes to the brain. So we're talking about changing between the heart and the brain and this is talking about how heart coherence improves hormones. 05:12 - Kimber (Guest) Thank you so much.

05:14 - Chase (Host) This is a really unique interview because not only do you have an incredible new book out that I would be reading anyways, but I got to be a part of this new work that you're bringing to the world of heart coherence, and I just want to say I'm very grateful for you deciding to do this work and to create this book and to include me and my wife in this process, because it was a nudge that I needed and wanted to implement, something into my wellness routine that I'd heard about, I'd always wanted to get into, but I never had a reason to or I never prioritized it enough. But once I heard protocol study, HRV and something that I was very interested in in terms of getting more in tune with my heart, it was the perfect storm in all the best ways. So thank you.

06:04 - Kimber (Guest) Well, thank you so much, Chase.

06:06 When there was this opportunity to do my first formal research study, I was thinking of people that I knew personally, that I would ask to come into the study, and then also we put it out into the larger space, and I knew that you were really into all the ways in which, yeah, wellness and data and for me, what's really interesting about the heart, which we can get into, is that the heart is not really what I thought it was, what you may have thought it was, what most people think it is from a scientific perspective and an energetic perspective, and the profound impacts it really can have on our health, on our emotional wellbeing.

06:46 There's so many aspects of the heart. So this book, chase, I have to say, really changed my life. Running the study changed my life. Understanding more about the heart has really. This is my eighth book, but it feels like it's really tying together all these aspects of wellness I've done, nutrition and fitness and sleep. Everything converges in this really central place inside of us which happens to be the main biological oscillator, the rhythm setter of the body.

07:15 - Chase (Host) The word we're probably going to say. The most and someone can expect to hear in this new book or read is coherence.

07:20 - Kimber (Guest) Yes, and.

07:21 - Chase (Host) I kind of boiled it down to. I think that coherenceence, heart coherence particularly, is this ultimate physiological and emotional goal. At least, that was kind of what I realized. Oh, this is, this is what I'm after. Yes, this is all the biohacking, all the fitness, all the habits I'm after, my physiological state and emotional state running parallel. I'm in pursuit of individual goals, but also not out of sync of each other and recognizing that I really do need and I feel my best and I perform my best when they're in harmony.

07:50 Yes so can you kind of just define our terms coherence, what is it?

07:54 - Kimber (Guest) Yes, and even maybe we start a step back chase and start with what is the heart right, Better, better.

08:01 - Chase (Host) That should be an obvious one. But you know, but you have a different spin on it.

08:04 - Kimber (Guest) Well, most people physically think the heart is simply, you know, a muscle pumping blood. It's just this pump, basically, right and so. And then also in terms of just thinking about the heart, when people say, oh, I follow my heart or my heart led me here, well, usually people think of the heart as irrational, overly sentimental, not practical. But actually what over 500 research papers show is the heart is another brain. So we know there's a brain actually in our gut, the neurotransmitters and the vagus nerve and all these connections, and there's obviously a brain up here. But in between them, chase, is another heart right here, another brain in your heart. And it turns out that your heart has its own independent nervous system and it's sending more messages to your brain than vice versa.

08:47 And why this is so important is that your heart is actually speaking an intelligent language to the other organs in your body. It's not just a mechanical pump. So to your point about coherence, which really is this harmony? It's this syncing up between actually turning these 40,000 neurons on turning this heart brain, on learning to access this power, the hidden power We'll break down with the five hearts, heart, but this power is this ability to be resilient, to be in your fullest energy, to be in your fullest vitality, to not go into stress responses instead of trying to mitigate stress, but actually being resilient against all these ways in which we get depleted. Two minutes of irritation, for instance, puts into motion over 1500 different biochemical processes that ultimately drain your energy.

09:36 - Chase (Host) By irritation do you mean stress?

09:39 - Kimber (Guest) Yeah, Like just think about what makes you irritated. Or frustrated Like, Ooh, this traffic is unexpected, or I didn't really like how this person responded to my email. Or Ooh, I didn't like this thing I saw on TikTok.

09:50 Think about how much that adds up in a day, right? So this was really revelatory to me because I'd been working on my nutrition and I am a nutritionist, you know for over a decade and fitness, all these different aspects of wellness. But what I wasn't accounting for was this, um, this inner tumultuousness that happens from the ups and downs of life. What coherence does is it creates this centering inside of you. Your heart, your brain and your nervous system start to link up and this is a huge, huge missing link for most people in trying to increase performance, focus, wellness, energy it certainly wasn't mine. I thought I had energy before I learned about this work, but I would say and I'm not exaggerating my energy is about 60% higher. Why I'm still eating. Well, I'm doing all the things. But I have this coherence and these tools, these powerful tools I talk about in the book, which keep you from going off into what's called incoherence. So basically, what we're really talking. We keep diving deeper and deeper into this, but when your heart and your brain and your nervous system are synced up, there's that flow state which so many of us are seeking. There's the clarity, there is the natural improvement in cognitive functioning, there's more focus Again, hundreds of research papers, some of which I reference here in the book, all these respected journals American Journal of Cardiology, so on and so forth show how, when we work with the heart-brain because it's the main biological oscillator what happens, chase, is you are changing the input from your heart to your brain and your amygdala.

11:35 So let's break that down for a minute. Your amygdala, which are both hemispheres, recognizes experiences and it, you know, says familiar, unfamiliar. So this is why we get stuck in patterns over and over again. Like this happens. I get upset or you know this happens I get feelings of lack or smallness, or stress or whatever it is. So the problem for most people in trying to get to that next level is we're going to the same place to try to find a solution where the issue is which is the thinking, which is the overthinking, which is the thoughts? This is where confusion is right.

12:09 So with this work, chase, we're going to a different place Now. We're going into the heart, brain, and when you start to work with this, these tools, coherence, you're changing the input, which means you're starting to change your perceptions, which naturally changes your thoughts, which changes your emotions, your feelings and eventually your actions. So, instead of, let's say, for example, this happens, I immediately go into a stress response, the Heart Align, harmonize and Life tool which is in the Propelled Heart chapter. Three to 10 seconds.

12:39 You actually instead stay coherent in your heart and you just start to flow and move with life, which is very different experience and most of us have resistance, upset again, that I don't like this, the stress which wears and tears our, our, our body. So so many of us are looking to have these, this state of harmony which is felt in the body, physically, and then it's felt in the emotions, it's felt in the more peaceful thoughts, lighter thoughts, not the small thoughts, not the, you know, the negative thoughts, the self-doubt, and then everything lines up and, yes, products can be helpful, yes, workouts, all these things outside of us. But there's this hidden power. You know, to me, chase, it's the ant, you can do all those things. And learn.

13:21 - Chase (Host) Yes, yeah, absolutely. So many things I want to get into and you just kind of like loosely hinted at most of them. But you know, at my core, at our core here, everford radio is really a health and fitness show. Wellness, the physical self, and I talk a lot about the mental and emotional and spiritual these days, um, but I would love to kind of get your perspective on the health and fitness, because primarily that's what really. Besides, I want to adopt a meditation habit in my personal wellness routine. What really drove me to want to do this was the uh HRV testing and heart rate variability is one of the primary indicators of performance, resilience, endurance, longevity. So can you kind of take this, um, hidden power, the five hearts, through the lens of health and fitness predominantly hrv?

14:11 - Kimber (Guest) yes, and to be clear, the study we did was on a practice that takes seven to eight minutes, but what the other tools in the book are to be done in the middle of life? Right, right, three seconds, 10 seconds, one minute or less. So this is meant to be integrated into your lifestyle. It's not just you know, you have to spend hours and hours doing something separate to yourself. So the study that we did, we took 30 people, including yourself, all different walks of life. There were busy moms, there were executives, there were some, I believe, ex-athletes. There was just a total mix of life.

14:44 There were busy moms, there were executives, there were some, I believe, ex-athletes, there was just a total mix of people and we brought them in and we did the study with the HeartMath Institute, who's been studying heart-brain communication for over 30 years, and we used their professional equipment, which is called the M-Wave Pro, and what we were measuring was not just the numbers of their HRV, but the patterns. Okay, and this is a really significant thing to consider, and this is why this is different than just, you know, wearing an aura ring and tracking your overall number, or I just want to show you this picture For me on the whoop it's yeah, it's a number, a percentage and a color, kind of thing, right, okay, so what we're doing here instead?

15:24 and okay, there's all the research here.

15:27 Okay, look, I want to show this graph. What we were measuring was the actual patterns of what your HRV is looking at looking like. So this is where the psychological becomes the physiological and this is where, instead of just tracking your HRV, we're actually able to train your HRV overall, and what we're talking about here is increasing your coherence capacity, what it's called. So, over time, your baseline gets higher and higher and higher. So what we did in this study was I'll get to this graph in a minute we measured everyone in and then all we did as you know, chase we said here's this meditation. It's under eight minutes long. Please practice this four to five times a week, preferably in the morning, preferably in the morning.

16:16 - Chase (Host) So we're talking about why in the morning.

16:18 - Kimber (Guest) Well, so that you're in a more coherent state as you go into your day? Okay, so if you're more coherent, your heart brain's turned on. You are less susceptible to stress.

16:32 You are more able to be more resilient during your day and it's great to do at the end of the day, too, if you have time to reset, but if someone only had time, or for the study, what we required was one time a day. So then we brought people back in 30 days, and in 30 days, on average there was a 29% increase in getting into a coherent state and a 10% increase in overall baseline. So what that meant was the power of this is being able to self-induce the state without supplements, without different fitness program, without changing sleep patterns.

17:06 This is how powerful this is and one of the things that we did in the meditation practice. There's a part, as you know, chase, where we go into appreciation and the reason this is so impactful, as you can start to see here, these beautiful smooth sine waves, these aren't just emotions when we think, sometimes emotions like, oh, this sine waves, these aren't just emotions when we think, sometimes emotions like, oh, this feels nice. Remember, the heart is the main biological oscillator in the body. So when you're going into certain emotions that have been shown and proven in research, including in our study to increase coherence, this is echoed. That harmony we talked about coherence is echoed throughout the body. So you can see how erratic and disordered this is measuring someone in anger or irritation. But this look at this Chase this is clarity. This is where research, study after research study, shows that performance to your point goes up. Because what happens when these are getting coherent heart, brain, nervous system? It pulls your other systems into more synchronization. So there's more energy efficiency and less energy wasted.

18:10 So it's happening on all levels. I want to show you another uh, another study in here.

18:15 - Chase (Host) That's so powerful you guys have to check out um the video on this one. I'll make sure to link everything we're talking about here. Of course we'll be in the show notes and podcast notes, but oh yeah, so a lot of good visual aids here.

18:25 - Kimber (Guest) That's right. I'll describe it for our audio listeners.

18:28 So this was this study showed. They brought people and they said recall anger for five minutes. Okay, recall, not even being angry, but just hey, remember when this person did this to me or something that makes you sort of you know, feel that real intense emotion. And then they also ask people to recall care for five minutes. So remember when you're you cared for your sick dog, or remember when your mother cared for you. Now it's really interesting in both cases there was a spike of IGA, which is a secretory antibody. We're measuring immunity in this case, but with the people who got who we called anger, their immunity dropped for six hours, and the people who we called care, their immunity was elevated for six hours.

19:16 So you're asking me about health, wellness, performance. This is where a huge missing link is emotional resilience and management, which you can do with these simple coherence tools. You can work out hours a day, you can, you know, take your, you know, blood work and your specific supplements, and these can be enormously helpful. Enormously helpful, but but different kind of snapshot. If you have no real um picture and ability to stabilize your emotion, the emotional energies inside of you, you are going to age faster, you're going to deplete your um immunity, your um, your gut health is going to be depleted, all your organs right, because the heart is the main biological oscillator.

20:11 - Chase (Host) What that means is when you're working with the heart, with these tools, all systems benefit. Hey guys, quick break from my conversation with Kimberly To put your attention on something else that is going to help elevate your mind, elevate your mood, elevate your cells, elevate yourself. I'm talking about one of my favorite daily supplements, fatty 15, the C15 essential fatty acid. This is something that your body needs to stay healthy, especially as you age. What is C15? Well, I'm sure you've probably heard the words essential fatty acid before, right, maybe even omega-3s. You're no stranger to fish oil. Well, this is like fish oil, but the latest and greatest version of it, c-15, is an odd chain saturated fatty acid present in trace levels in whole fat, dairy products and even some plants and fish. But there's now a growing body of scientific evidence supporting C-15 that this is the first essential fatty acid to be discovered in 90 years. Essential fatty acid to be discovered in 90 years. This is important because essential being the key word these are nutrients that our bodies do not make, but are necessary to maintain physiological health. But before you increase your intake of dairy fat by gobbling down loads of butter, consider this High consumption of dairy products won't just increase your levels of good, healthy fatty acids. It will also increase your total fat intake, including some even-chain saturated fatty acids that are not good for your body, as well as your total sugar intake, thanks to the naturally occurring sugars in milk and lactose.

21:40 For me, I'm reaching for Fatty 15. This is essential to replenishing and strengthening cells. Also, if you're looking for a healthy fat supplement, I love it because it's so small, so tiny, it's just one down the hatch daily, not like a lot of other essential fat omega-3 supplements. You got to take big bulky capsules multiple a day. You get the weird nasty fish burps. None of that. With fatty 15. You can expect more energy and healthier skin, a better metabolic, heart, liver and even immune health, not to mention a calmer mind and even many people are reporting my hand raised over here deeper sleep. That's because our brain loves operating off of these fats. So if you'd like to learn more and even save an additional 15% off of their already discounted 90-day supply starter kit, head to fatty15.com. Slash everforward to log in this deal today. To scoop up your deal and start feeling your best and living your best life today linked for you, as always, in the show notes. But again, that's fatty. 15.com slash ever forward.

22:52 That's a great thing and I want to share just a quick real world example of what that looks like for me and I think it looks like for a lot of people, particularly still in, like the health and fitness world, is I used to, if I had a flustered situation or I was angry or something kind of tipped me over and I was then going to the gym or doing a workout. I would still kind of use that and sometimes, you know, you'd use that maybe as motivation, like, oh, I'm really angry and frustrated, so let me go move a bunch of heavy weight and get it out. It as motivation like, oh, I'm really angry and frustrated, so let me go move a bunch of heavy weight and get it out. It could be a good stress relief kind of thing. But what I noticed was because I was able to stay in and then, you know, kind of get back to more coherence.

23:28 If that happened to me and I was going to work out, I was able to make the best decision in the gym for what my body actually needed, instead of just I'm angry, I'm frustrated, let me just go move a bunch of weight or, you know, beat myself up, kind of thing. I think I probably I mean, who knows really but I think I probably prevented injury. I think I probably made the right choice and know what. Actually you should go do yoga instead. Oh no, you should actually go take a walk or still go to the gym. Do no more routine, but don't beat yourself up. Lower the weights, kind of thing. Go through what you need to go through, not what you want to go through.

24:04 - Kimber (Guest) That was a very good experience for me. Yes, research shows and there's some in here too, chase that if you, you know, some people used to say, oh, have the big blowout go into the rage get it out.

24:17 But there's the research now that shows that that actually keeps the anger alive. It reinforces the neural networks versus neuroplasticity. What we're talking about in this case is rewiring Again. The input changes to the brain. So we're talking about changing between the heart and the brain. If you are in these chronic states of anger, you're depleting yourselves. You don't have the same amount of energy and life force to build muscle. You were wearing and tearing your joints inflammation, I mean again staying in a heightened cortisol state. Exactly.

24:47 - Chase (Host) Oh yeah, yes, that was the other definitely not your friend when you're trying to build muscle. Maintain muscle immune health anything.

24:53 - Kimber (Guest) So this is another incredible study that I referenced in the book. So all the research here is incorporated in these methods and tools. This is on page 77, and this is talking about how heart coherence improves hormones. So in 30 days of using the tools like we're talking about in the book, on average in this study, cortisol went down 23%. That's huge, and what else is huge is DHEA went up 100%.

25:20 - Chase (Host) Where else can you get a 100% increase? Naturally with your own self. Yes.

25:26 - Kimber (Guest) So DHEA precursor hormone is so important for vitality, for fertility, right. We're seeing all sorts of fertility issues these days, we know, with sperm motility and egg quality, just many things People are trying to, you know, supplementing with DHEA I went through it.

25:39 - Chase (Host) Yeah, we went through about a year and a half fertility journey before getting successfully pregnant.

25:44 - Kimber (Guest) Right, right. So what's really powerful about this and I say and right, because some people will still supplement, they'll do different things, but how amazing to know that right inside of you is this power. These tools are so simple Chase, we can go through some of them on the show and you can actually reduce your cortisol and increase this hormone 100%. And it's measurable and it's been proven in science and published in journals. So when I started to learn about this science a few years ago, I actually found it when I was researching my last book which we chatted about.

26:19 So this would have been back in, you know, 21, 22, back there in 2021.

26:26 - Chase (Host) I always think it dates somewhere yeah exactly.

26:29 - Kimber (Guest) So I really did a triple take. I said what the heart's? Another brain, and you know it's. It has this ability to create coherence and change your thought, like all this incredible science. And then I started quickly going down the rabbit hole. And then I started to quickly say to myself everybody needs to know this. Truly, I've worked in wellness now for over 14 years and I'm the one reading all the journals and doing this. I didn't know about this, the average person does not know, but that's why I call it the hidden power. And now the five hearts are these five heart stages that we all go through to reach this full potential of physical wellbeing, fitness, emotional wellbeing, clarity, all these incredible things, also just being more centered, peaceful, kind, loving the other qualities that are very much in alignment with coherence, not going into reactivity and anger and inflammatory reactions, which actually deplete us. So there's five stages that go from the dark heart to the clear heart and at every stage there's the measurable levels of heart brain communication that keep improving.

27:38 - Chase (Host) I want to get into self-sabotage. This really stood out to me again. I'm going to be throwing a lot of my two cents in here because I went through your meditation process and.

27:50 I'm kind of just. I want to share some realizations I had that I think are relatable to a lot of people Self-sabotage I never would have said I'm someone that suffers from or I'm aware of. Oh, I always self-sabotage, but I had it all wrong and I think what I realized by going through this meditation practice was how I was living out of coherence was the new and very obvious presentations of self-sabotage I was experiencing, and what I mean by that was letting my emotions get the better of me and then derailing meotage. I was experiencing, and what I mean by that was letting my emotions get the better of me and then derailing me from what I actually wanted.

28:25 - Kimber (Guest) Yes.

28:26 - Chase (Host) That has to be the ultimate definition of self-sabotage when you are in your own way or doing or not doing things to prevent you from the life that you want accomplishing your goals, the state of being the success, from the life that you want accomplishing your goals, the state of being the success, the relationship. And so it was just keeping my healthy habits, business negotiations, maintaining relationships. I recognize the level of friction that I was contributing by being out of coherence. Yes, do you think people can relate to this aspect of self-sabotage?

28:56 - Kimber (Guest) Well, I think what you're saying is is really huge and this is the. This is what we need to understand Dr Roland McCready puts it in these terms from a physical health standpoint and then we can expand it to full life success Emotions run the show, emotions run the show. So, for instance, what we're talking about stress, it's not the, you know, the bad weather or the job not working out, it's the emotions that we bring in that brings that inner turbulence which ultimately creates wear and tear. These huge, unbridled emotions, like the anger and the jealousy and the frustration that you know, really derail our bodies when it comes to our life success. And I talk about this in the Steady Heart chapter, stage three emotional intelligence.

29:45 - Chase (Host) My favorite one, by the way.

29:47 - Kimber (Guest) Emotional intelligence indicates success far more than IQ, right, and we know this. And mind and the ego say work harder, do more. Right, this is what the propelled heart is. It's that stage where there's a little bit more um coherence than the dark heart, where the heart and brain aren't speaking at all Right. So dark heart is low energy, lack of purpose, lack of clarity, Um, not like you're a bad person, evil heart.

30:13 - Chase (Host) It's dark of just living in darkness. Yeah, dark means I don't see.

30:16 - Kimber (Guest) Yeah, but then as we start to get a little bit more energy, let's say we do make a lifestyle change. We're now, we're in the propelled heart, but this is like being, you know, on the hamster wheel always on, never enough. This next, you know, I need to get this achievement. I'm supposed to make this much money. I have this many followers. I should be doing this, this, this, this, this.

30:36 Never a sense of peace, never a sense of really being present either, right? So when you're talking about sabotage, we're talking about the things that are going on in your head, right In the head up here. I'm, you know, the brain up here. I'm talking about the thoughts, the insecurities always ruminating about the past, thinking about the future, letting the past come into the present. That's what emotional reactivity is. That's what happens when we're letting I call it in the book the unbridled, wild horse mind, when it's not harnessed to the heart. What happens is we believe all these thoughts.

31:09 Let's say, someone pushes in front of you in line at the Starbucks, instead of just being like, oh, I guess this person is in a rush and maybe you could calmly say to them hey, I was in line. Or be like, whatever, I'm just going to do an email. If there's a memory of getting bullied or pushed around when you were a child, suddenly it could trigger something so much more from the past into this moment. Suddenly you're seething with anger. Suddenly you're saying to yourself what an a-hole this person is, like da-da-da, like you're literally getting yourself riled up. That is the past coming into the future, this present moment. That is a form of self-sabotage, as you're describing, versus when we're in our hearts Chase, when we are in these neurons and we're starting to go into the different, you know, changing the input.

31:51 We are here. This is our point of power. Is this moment, in this moment, from my heart's power, what is the most emotionally intelligent thing I can say? From this moment, in the steady heart, I feel there's a big sensation, a big emotion coming up. I'm starting to get really frustrated. Let me use this tool to get coherent before I write that email, before I speak on that Zoom, before I create damage in a relationship or push people away. Right, because ultimately, the wisdom of the heart, this intelligence of the heart, is saying I change my energy, I change my life, head unbridled to heart, propelled heart says no, I had to make the outside world conform to what I want. I have to change all this stuff out here. So arduous, so much more energy depleting versus wow this power of actually changing my own energy and how I show up. It changes the way people respond.

32:45 - Chase (Host) Oh yeah.

32:46 - Kimber (Guest) And it does create practical success, and there's even research about that as well.

32:52 - Chase (Host) So then, how would you say this is different from mindfulness awareness? Because I have to imagine someone listening, watching, is going. You know, I practice mindfulness. This sounds very similar. Are we talking about something different?

33:03 - Kimber (Guest) No, mindfulness, just break down that word for me, chase mind right, okay.

33:09 When people think like mindfulness. I mean, I'm not saying I'm not trying to, you know poo-poo that word, but I think it's very ambiguous and sort of fleeting right, like, oh, I'm trying to be mindful, but then you can just be up in your head, in your thoughts. I love Eckhart Tolle. He's always saying, you know, go beyond thoughts, I'm like, but how do I actually do that, right? So in essence, it's a nice, it's a good concept. It's really about being aware and being present. But I can just say, in my own experience that's really difficult and challenging to maintain and to actually really improve and deepen over time. We're talking about something different. There's an element of being present, but again, like I said, we're going to a different place than where the thoughts are. We're going to the brain right here, and I want to show this graphic.

33:59 This is on page 45. So also, what's really powerful about this work? I love this visual. It's measurable. Okay, so you know, when you go in and you get an EKG and you can actually they're measuring with electricity. They're measuring the health of your heart. What this diagram is showing is the torus field of your heart. Everything is made of electromagnetic frequencies, so sensitive equipment known as magnetometers measure magnetic fields, this is measurable. This isn't like, ooh, you know feels nice, like some sort of you know, just you know not really quantifiable concept.

34:34 This is a hundred times stronger than the brain. So when we're talking about working with your core energy, when we're talking about coherence, what's really incredible for people to get is that you don't stop there where your skin is and I don't stop right here. Your energy is projected out eight to 10 feet from your body. Your energy is felt also across those Zoom calls, those Riverside, you know, when you are just able to connect with someone and they're feeling your energy. What does this mean? It means that your emotional states are broadcast out through this heart field and they can be felt.

35:10 Think about that when you walk into you know grocery store and there's someone pushing the cart next to you. They may not say a word, but you can sort of feel energetically what's happening the cart next to you. They may not say a word, but you can sort of feel energetically what's happening. So back to your question about self-sabotage when you're working with this energy, you can literally be more magnetic. When you're more coherent, when you're more aligned, you're not registering as chaotic drama which repels people Suddenly.

35:35 - Chase (Host) It's more like you know what are you working on yeah I'd love to work with you, you know, hey I don't know what it is about you, but I just feel compelled to talk to you, learn more about you, like how did you get to be in this state, kind of thing.

35:47 - Kimber (Guest) Yeah, it's or like hey, you know, for all the people that are out there trying to find a partner or being on dating apps, it's like hey, you know, I'd love to go on a date with you, I'd love to get to know you.

35:57 - Chase (Host) Yeah, I wanted to ask about how can maybe getting more into this heart coherence level up our relationships? Or you know we're in pursuit of, you know, finding a partner or just you know, in our dating life, relationship, life?

36:08 - Kimber (Guest) Well, you know, what's amazing is, you know, speaking about that heart field and just how we change and then outcomes change, versus, you know, ego's way, which is, let me try to control the outside world and force it, make it happen. We change. So there was two women in our study, chase, and they were both professionals One of them's a doctor, one of them's a high level producer. Both of them have been focusing on their career, you know, for a long time. They're in their late thirties, really wanting to start a family, having no success on dating apps Within one was three weeks, one was within five weeks of doing our study. They both found their life partners no way.

36:49 - Chase (Host) No kidding, one of them is engaged. Is this the one that I know? I'm curious.

36:53 - Kimber (Guest) I don't think so.

36:54 - Chase (Host) I won't break protocol. I won't ask no.

36:57 - Kimber (Guest) I don't think so. One of them um, they were not on the zooms and I don't think okay, okay, yeah but one one of them is about to get engaged. They just took an amazing trip to italy and she keeps in touch with me and she shares about this publicly. Um, and we just had a feature in entertainment tonight because she was.

37:14 You know, she works with all these other producers yeah, so anyways, the point is, what's amazing is these are people who had been doing the things the doing, going on the dating apps, doing whatever you know we're told to do, but when their energy shifted, then they got measurable differences in outcome. Right For me, I say, wow, my energy's up 60%. There's the ways we measure things. There's the data you know, I know you love data Chase but then there's also the experiential. So you're talking about relationships. One thing I can say for me and I know you know my husband very well, john so much love, right, we met and we fell in love. And then there's real life, right, and we have two small kids and we're both really busy with our careers. And then there's, you know, the friction of daily life. That can happen, like you left your socks on the floor. You know you're not listening to me.

38:09 - Chase (Host) What is it about every husband that does that? For me it's always. I'll put something halfway in the hamper.

38:20 - Kimber (Guest) There's, but there's some. There's, there's the the power of heart. Coherence is the deepening of relationships. Why? Because unbridled mind ego is like my way. I only see my perspective. It's very small, it's very narrow versus heart. This is where, you know, win-win comes in. This is where, oh, I really see what this person is trying to say. There's a power of the heart brain that's more expansive and unifying. And this is also a separate topic. Why I'm so passionate about this work for changing society? Because I think the more of us that awaken into our hearts, the more we can find a way to peace and unity. But I'll give a real world. A quick example. Was I really like no clutter and my husband loves stuff?

39:01 - Chase (Host) And you have two small children, so I'm sure clutter doesn't staying on clutter, it doesn't come on an easy for you, no, no, it's like a constant thing with us.

39:09 - Kimber (Guest) And then we. You know we're grateful enough to have a housekeeper, but it's just this constant battle.

39:13 - Chase (Host) So anyways, John has a lot of toys too. He's all toys. He loves all the bio Like stop Okay.

39:18 - Kimber (Guest) So we get to the porch one day and there's a lot of boxes and my first thought was you know cause he has a tendency to unpack and then they're kind of left there and it's just a mess for a while. So I saw the boxes and I went right into you know big pattern, like I said something snappy, like oh, more stuff. And then he gets defensive and he goes I'm allowed to get what I want. You know, like the don't control me kind of thing. In the past, before I had this work, there'd be little jabs at each other, right, it could go on an hour, even the whole evening, like Ooh, just being a little short, not being super friendly, the kids would feel it, it would echo throughout the whole household.

40:02 But in that moment, in that moment, chase, I literally did the heart aligned, propelled in life practice. So I felt it coming, that tightening, the feeling of incoherence we start to feel, and I just went into my heart, I did the practice, I got coherent and this is the power of why it helps relationships and emotional intelligence. I turned to him. Then he started coming up the driveway and I said hey, you know, babe, you know I'm sorry, I know that sounded sharp, but I would really appreciate if you put away the boxes right away and you know what he heard it when we're coherent, we're not needy, we're not pushing down our needs, we're not squashing ourselves.

40:42 - Chase (Host) He heard it and he felt it.

40:43 - Kimber (Guest) He felt it we're able to communicate clearly.

40:46 - Chase (Host) Whereas before you're not feeling.

40:48 - Kimber (Guest) No, before I'm just like you come across as nagging or like so. He did it. And then we had a beautiful, peaceful evening. We enjoyed, like the kids. We were laughing. It was amazing. These are the moments of our lives, right? You think about an incoherent situation. Maybe you, you know, kind of have friction with a coworker or someone you're doing a project with, versus pausing, getting coherent and coming at it in a completely different way. It changes your success, it changes your outcomes, it changes your physical health and I can't, like I would say our relationship is just so 80, 90% better.

41:22 - Chase (Host) That's incredible and I can echo that for sure.

41:25 I think it's unique that both my wife and I went through this study, but we both implemented this meditation and this protocol into our daily wellness habits and so I mean there's kind of those two unique variables. But I can tell you personally, I mean you do this and it will significantly improve your relationship, better communication. But again, personally speaking, it's just a more immediate catch of am I just speaking out of the head or am I fully present? Am I coherent with myself first, before kind of getting that with?

41:57 - Kimber (Guest) my partner. Huge with myself first before kind of getting that with my partner Huge. Your partner, your friends, your coworkers, people you interact with right as entrepreneurs, we're interacting with so many different people. It's received differently.

42:10 So back to the self-sabotage, if you're emotional and your emotions are felt, whether people consciously realize this or not. But that little bit of irritation or that little bit of you know coming at it affects how people want to work with you, it affects outcomes. So, just getting coherent which again these tools are so powerful, they made such a difference in my life. You do the. If you could do the heart aligned meditation in the morning, seven to eight minutes, you're more coherent. Your coherent capacity will build and build. And then you do the other practices heart aligned, steady in life, heart aligned, harmonized. There's a forgiveness practice in the devoted heart chapter as well. You do these and then suddenly you're just feeling so centered and what feels really good to me.

42:54 It's simple, chase. It's not like all these narratives. You know you're in your ego and there's like these big explanations about you know trying to prove you're right and trying to back this up versus. It's just so clear. You know I can see how you feel this way, but actually, um, you know I, really I feel this or this, so you are expressing your needs, but it's simple and it's grounded and it's, you know, way more powerful.

43:17 - Chase (Host) I mentioned earlier, when you brought up the steady heart, that that was my favorite. Yes, and it was my favorite, because I think I had spent the most, before we even connected, on this study, I realized that I was in and getting deeper into this steady heart state.

43:32 I'd probably been in for about two or three years and there was just something so moving to know that what I'm experiencing not only has a feeling but a physiological benefit as well. So and you know, enough of me kind of rambling on about my personal favorite, but can you unpack more of the steady heart? What does that state look like? What does it feel like? And I think most people could benefit most from just that one alone.

43:56 - Kimber (Guest) So, yes, we'll go into that one. There's a really big shift as we move to that stage three. And I also want to say, chase, that we it's fluid, right, so we may be in the steady heart most of the time, but it's important to understand all the heart stages because there could be a trigger, or you see something on the news or something happens that brings you to that moment of fear, the dark heart energy. And so what this, um, the tools are is that it allows you to get out faster when you're in there and you're not in those lower stages as much. But, like we said, dark heart, incoherence, lots of fear, overwhelm, overthinking. Coherence builds a little bit. So you get into propelled heart. But there's so much external orientation. What do people think of me? Do they like me? What do I look like in social media? Am I successful enough? People think of me? Do they like me? What do I look like in social media? Am I successful enough?

44:41 Rigid life plans, so propelled heart is a lot of burnout, always on insomnia, caffeine, overdrive, inflammation. Steady heart is where coherence builds even more. Now there's a real heart-brain communication starting to happen and it can be measured in the HRV patterns and what happens in the steady heart is you become so much more literally steady, resilient in yourself, resilient in terms of safety and security comes from inside of you validation, self-worth. So you may say, you know, I would love for this project to work out. Or I, you know, I love to do this business with you or whatever it is, but without the neediness. Remember that heart field this oh my gosh, if I'm not in a relationship, I'm such a loser Like this neediness that actually repels. Steadiness is very magnetic. Steadiness is very rejuvenative. Steadiness because you're not constantly going into a stress response means your body, your muscles, your energy, your digestion starts to build in a much higher way.

45:39 Remember the DHEA a hundred percent increase more vitality. Attachments are the opposite of steadiness. Right Attachments means I need this to work out. I need you to agree with my opinion. You know we've gotten to the battles with people whether it's about a nutritional protocol or political opinion or whatever. It is like this. Needing people to, you just need other people. So what's amazing? The self-reliance that happens in the steady heart allows you to be your own anchor as you move through, and there are tremendous health and wellness increases.

47:54 - Kimber (Guest) But there's still two more stages.

47:55 - Chase (Host) I love your business aspect because for me, after going through this, the direct effect was my immediate ability to when something did not work out. It wasn't even like a thought, I just went okay.

48:10 - Kimber (Guest) Exactly.

48:11 - Chase (Host) Whereas before I would get stuck, I would dwell on it, I would try to like go back and fix things that there wasn't even a problem. It's just like it wasn't meant to be. It was a bad deal, it's. They're not your client, this isn't your project, kind of thing. Now, if it doesn't work out after I know cause I act and I build my business and I, you know, work accordingly, out of coherence. Now, I have utmost confidence and belief that if after that it didn't work out, okay.

48:37 - Kimber (Guest) Exactly.

48:38 - Chase (Host) I did nothing wrong.

48:39 - Kimber (Guest) The piece, the piece that comes from that propelled heart says rejection. Oh my gosh, I'm not good enough. Um, you know the self-esteem, the peace that comes from that propelled heart says rejection. Oh my gosh, I'm not good enough.

48:46 Um, you know the self-esteem, the self-doubt the insecurities, yeah, like, oh, there's something wrong with me, I'm not as good. You start to get into these low thoughts. The lack right, steady heart says, oh, you know, this door isn't opening right now. I'll go this door Like I'm going to flow, I'm going to. You know, just go my way, and it's not personal.

49:07 - Chase (Host) Right, yes, it is non-personal.

49:09 - Kimber (Guest) So that's the other thing about the heart. Things get more non-personal, and even the really amazing things. So I'll give you an example when we're doing that appreciation practice in the heart of life, at first you are, we're self-generating that feeling of appreciation.

49:25 - Chase (Host) So you, you recall someone you had us go back to a moment, something you love, like a loved one, a sunset that you saw, whatever it is.

49:34 - Kimber (Guest) But you know, what happens over time is because you just become so self-sustaining and it just builds and builds your coherence. You are just getting into those states without an external object. Right, and this is where the spirituality, the Vedic teachings really come in. Right, because there's this idea that we need this. To feel love, you need partnership, even the most amazing things your family, the circles around you. But what the heart starts to bring in are these states. As you start to become more coherent, there's that inner flow and coherence. You're actually able to feel peace, whether or not something works out. It's a state that isn't dependent. You actually start to feel more love and compassion and care, and not just because of that other thing I describe in this chapter Chase, when my first child was born the love, but also the attachment. This little boy always had to be with him.

50:31 I was working, I was doing my podcast, writing books all hours of the night. It was like only me, me, me. Because I wanted to hold onto that love and because I realized I had abandonment issues as a child that I only learned later, like it started to come out of my heart. But then, as I started to grow, it's like we shed attachments. You know, I have this. This project has to work out exactly, this business has to hit this sales number exactly, or a failure. You shed all that and then what grows is authentic connection. So I'm connected to my worth, I'm connected to the value I have, I'm connected to this child, but not attached, not that gripping right, the ego, the dark, hard energy. So things flourish, things open, connections grow even more and this is what starts to happen when you enter the fourth heart stage, which is the devoted heart.

51:18 So instead of just, you know, the steady heart, we're anchored in the devoted heart. We become even more devoted to the inner world. So it's like this moment, right, this moment we're completely connected, we're here, versus checking things off a box how many things can I fit in a day? We become more devoted to connection, care, love, kindness. When you're in hurry mode, you're like, eh, I got to get to this meeting. I'm not going to let this person into the intersection, I'm not going to like, really look into the eyes of this person checking out you know, checking me out at target, I'm just kind of rushing through versus no Connection happens in these moment to moment interactions. But because heart coherence is so high in the devoted heart, because your heart field is so strong, the electromagnetic energy things tend to work out better. There's so much intuition that turns on in the devoted heart. There is so much vitality and emotional intelligence that this is where highly successful people not only create success outwardly but they're enjoying their lives Chase. It's fulfilling.

52:23 - Chase (Host) Who doesn't want that? It just makes me think of and I've been there the person that you're doing things because you have to do them. You're checking things off at work, your personal life, or maybe you don't even know. Maybe it's just because, oh, I've always done this Always striving.

52:37 Always wanting more, always striving, but imagine having a tool that takes just minutes a day and you can access at the snap of a finger and helps you get into a place to where you not only know why you are doing what you do, but you actually care about it.

52:57 - Kimber (Guest) Now copy and paste that over everything in your life.

53:00 I mean I will say, okay, let's talk about the clear heart for a minute. Okay, so there's another heart stage and it sounds like, oh, the fifth heart stage. But we dip in and out. So this is where think about clear like water. You're clear, it's more transparent. No heart is better than any other heart chase, but it means you're more clear. So when you're clear, what are you clear of?

53:19 Think about the dark heart density, all the old reactivity, all the wounds, all the patterns, all the ways you're still playing out the past. So when you get into this heart stage, it's like the moments where you're doing the dishes and you're just sort of peaceful and kind of staring off into space or you're looking into a loved one's eyes, right, this is where your heart starts to meld with the universal right. In yoga you call the Samadhi oneness. You're one with our brothers and sisters. When we're in this space, you're synced up in a in a way, and so this is where incredible synchronicities happen. So I told you this story. I'll I'll share it with our listeners quickly about Deepak.

53:58 - Chase (Host) Oh yeah, the New York story.

54:04 - Kimber (Guest) Yeah, I was walking down the street in the clear heart and I had reviewed my third book, but I felt like I was meant to do something more with him. Now, propelled heart will say hey, you know, make it happen, you know, go through agents, like you know, go to his conferences, like, stalk them outside, like you know, how do we, you know how do we make this happen? Attack, basically, yeah, just like push, push, push. So I just I felt it and it felt like a truth to me and I was just, you know, just kind of a non-thinking mode. When I got to Union Square Park I was meant to go diagonally to the East Village where my meeting was, and something in me, the clarity of coherence, this inner guidance also comes from your gut and your heart gut unit, which is another practice in the book. Guidance also comes from your gut and your heart gut unit, which is another practice in the book said go, go to the right, go to the West. And I ran into Deepak on the street.

54:49 - Chase (Host) Come on Every time. I swear to God.

54:51 - Kimber (Guest) And I said to him because I was so clear there wasn't this meek, like oh gosh, we might've talked to him or I don't want to bother him, or like fawning, it was just clear. It was like this chase, yeah, Deepak, it's me. Kimberly, you just reviewed my book like this no better than worse than no, you know, and stories so clear. And then people respond to you clearly. He said, oh, kimberly, great, here's my cell phone. We met in a coffee shop a few weeks later for two hours.

55:18 - Chase (Host) Which hold on. Deepak Chopra doesn't just meet people in the middle of New York City and just hand out his phone number. There's an energy that we bring when we're coherent, the way that you showed up, yeah there's not needy, not trying to get something not chaotic, just really clear.

55:31 - Kimber (Guest) And this is the level we can all rise to in our bodies, in our physical health, in our emotional resilience. So clear, chase, but it's simple, just like hey, it's me. So, chase, but it's simple, just like hey, it's me. So we met and in two hours we decided to write a book. I literally I think I have the napkin somewhere. We wrote it on a napkin um, radical beauty published. It became a New York times bestseller. These are the ways, and again, the heart is nonlinear. I tell this story because mine says you know, pedal to the metal. You know you're not going to look the way you're going to look, you're not going to have that successful entrepreneur business unless you put in the 20-hour days or whatever it is. Heart says there's a more easeful way, there's a way of working with the core energy that changes your hormones, like we just said, changes your immunity, changes your vitality, changes your emotional intelligence. It changes not how you perceive life, but how people perceive you, and this is like the super highway to success.

56:30 - Chase (Host) This brings me to a point, kind of a realization I had after this work and checking out more of the book, and I think it's that a lot of us struggle in our own lives because of the change we are consciously and or unconsciously trying to stimulate in others. We begin to adopt healthy habits, for example, and it transforms our life. You know, I feel great, I'm looking better, my biomarkers have improved and I think it's very fair for a lot of people to. I want that for my wife, I want that for my family, I want that for my coworkers, friends. But what we're really doing there is we're trying to change other people. We're trying to change other people and it's for, like, good reasons, right. But what this also did for me was it mirrored that of, in small little ways, how even though through the lens of this is good for you, objectively this can improve health.

57:23 I'm trying to change other people and if we really want that lasting change, if we really want, I want my family to get on board with these health practices. I want my team to get on board with just this level of awareness and mindfulness. So we can, we all. You know, rising tide raises all ships, kind of thing. The best thing I can do is to stop trying to push that out on other people and just be in coherence with myself and to live and act accordingly, and then you become magnetic. Everybody just begins to. They can't help themselves and go. What are you doing? What are you on? What are you taking?

57:53 - Kimber (Guest) How do I get like that? And it's just, it works.

57:56 - Chase (Host) It works.

57:57 - Kimber (Guest) Well, that's the difference between embodiment and, again, propelled heart pushing way right. Even virtue of saying this is good for you is saying I have an opinion and this is what I'm going to force on you Because, ultimately, who knows if it's good for them? Right? We could say I really. I follow a completely opposite diet to my husband. My diet really works for me. I've been eating this way for 14 years. My husband's diet seems to work for him. So when we got together, there was a similar thing where I was like, wow, I don't really think you could use more fiber. You could do this or that. And yes, you know when he's ready and is he. You know there's suggestions, there's things I could say.

58:41 But there's a difference between pushing versus sharing from this connected place and also recognizing the spiritual truth All hearts are equal, the Paramahansa Yogananda says. So what that means is we are all on our own journeys. People are growing, things are, you know, things come up for people where they need to learn and adapt, and we're not to take people's lessons away. We can share, we can embody, but we can never force. And when we do force, it's like anything else forcing the body, forcing the thoughts, fake force positive thinking. It ultimately creates decay because it's not natural.

59:16 - Chase (Host) It's not natural.

59:18 - Kimber (Guest) So let's say the example of and Deepak says this as well. He says you won't stay in a situation for long that is ultimately unnatural. So let's say the example of and Deepak says this as well. He says you won't stay in a situation for long that is ultimately unnatural. So let's say let's talk about the fake, forced positive thinking for a minute. Right, there's a lot of motivational programs out there that are like you know be positive, be positive. And so you know. Again, there's different situations.

59:40 But if you're always trying to be positive on top of layers of these other big emotions or things that you're going through, you're not actually present to what is. You're not actually learning tools to emotionally healthily digest those emotions, which is what heart coherence does. It's not saying I don't feel anger, but what it's saying is you don't go into the anger Like the heart aligned study in life. You actually allow these energies to go through you. Then you get coherent again. The fake stuff is just pretending it's not there. So you actually increase disconnection. You can actually create physical illness because there's so much you're trying to hold together. These are the people that you know zoning out every night to screens or weed or wine or whatever it is, because there's just so much in there unprocessed that is not the healthy way, right? So what I'm saying is we are so present with the heart. The heart's power can metabolize and digest all these things. So it's not fake, it's not forced. You actually get coherent and then your thoughts change.

01:00:39 - Chase (Host) Yeah, yeah, yeah and um, you've kind of touched on this a little bit, but for me change yeah, yeah, yeah, and you've kind of touched on this a little bit, but for me it also mirrored a lot of areas where ego was still staying front row and centered and ego mixed with. You know, just, I was trying to make something happen, not from an egotistical point of view, but just because I thought this was what needs to happen, and so it really allowed me to just first of all recognize that, but then also just immediately shift my state and instead, of getting so frustrated about why isn't this happening this way, or what do I need to do to change it?

01:01:15 and then kind of catastrophizing an already anxious and stressful situation. I was just going oh, it's me, Okay, it's also me that can change everything. I can change my response to this by getting back into coherence.

01:01:29 - Kimber (Guest) So back to the dark. Heart doesn't see, like you said, it's not evil. But imagine trying to walk across a dark room where you just bang your elbow, maybe I fall and I hurt my knee, maybe I fall into you. You can hurt other people, you can hurt yourself and you don't see how you're hurting people, you don't see how you come across in that relationship, in that interaction, right? So, as it's like little lights starting to go on, when you get more coherent, you can start to see yourself. So, spiritually we say it's like the heart awakens, the third eye awakens, where you can start to perceive more than just the black or white. And I would also say what this heart coherence work can help. Many people see. They can see their HRV numbers, they can see their you know BMI, they can see how many grams of protein they're eating. But then on the inside, what is really? You know, on a moment to moment basis, how much fulfillment and peace and clarity and quality of relationships are there in most people's lives. Right, there could. There might be some areas that are good, but there may be some areas that aren't. So what heart coherence does is it's saying, hey, I want these numbers to be great and they will. But beyond that, there's this moment to moment, power of being in the heart. There's this moment to moment, just quality of everything increases, including your energy, including your ability to avoid stress responses.

01:02:51 And I also want to say, you know, there's so much science in here, chase, and more and more research gets published from HeartMath, from all these other scientists, dr Carl Prigham. But there's also the energetic part which I don't think we can ignore, which is that in our society it's become so heady over the last 800 years or so. But if you look back to the ancients and the wise ones who've, you know, across the world, the Babylonians, the Greeks, the ancient Egyptians, who didn't remove the heart from the mummy, there was always this belief that energetically, there is a gateway in the heart. There's just this part, this actual energy center that brings us to our highest self. And that may be why, even when you are feeling love, a lot of times we'll feel it centered here, these really unifying, powerful emotions.

01:03:44 And even in world religions you see this intersection of the sacred heart of Jesus Christ, the Anahata chakra, the Buddhist heart sutra, heart sutra, the word kalb, mentioned throughout the Quran, which translates to heart, 132 times. The word lev, which translates to heart in Hebrew. These are all these ancient texts converging in one place the heart. So these five hearts, as I mentioned, were written about in the Vedas, which are the most ancient texts because they come from ancient India. But when I started getting into for me the parallel, I love the ancient texts and then I love the science, so whoa, what they're talking about here? These texts really parallels. You can see what's happening with the science, where the dark heart is incoherence and the clear heart, these moments of pure harmony are known as heart, brain harmony.

01:04:33 - Chase (Host) Now, is this something that anyone can just do by getting, still adopting any meditation practice?

01:04:39 - Kimber (Guest) No, we had a particular one, okay.

01:04:41 - Chase (Host) I have to ask the question what is the protocol, what is the process?

01:04:45 - Kimber (Guest) This is specific. This is like you know. Sometimes people say to me oh well, follow my heart, man. Like I tried something, it didn't work out. I guess that wasn't my heart. That is not what we are talking about. We are talking about practical wisdom, science, scientific teachings to get you from A to B to C to D to E.

01:05:06 - Chase (Host) To letters you didn't even know were coming your way. Points in your life that you didn't even know you wanted and I'm speaking from experience.

01:05:12 - Kimber (Guest) Exactly so. The book, you know we talk about these. It's important to know all the hearts and the stages so you could start to recognize yourself and create awareness. The baseline is doing the heart aligned meditation four to five times a week, if you can, and which is only.

01:05:28 - Chase (Host) It was eight minutes right.

01:05:30 - Kimber (Guest) Yeah, less than eight minutes. And then learning the practices that you do in the middle of life, like we keep calling out the heart aligned, harmonize, heart aligned, steady in life, and then in other moments you would do, or when you feel called to it, as you get through some of the preliminary stages, it's like pulling more surface thorns out. Then, as your awareness grows, you start to work with removing things that you know. The heart allows you to zoom out and see things from a larger perspective, things you maybe thought you couldn't get past. But the foundational is understanding the stages, doing the preliminary practices and really using them in your life. And, like I said, some of them are doing the dishes my kids are freaking out Do them three seconds 10 seconds.

01:06:24 - Chase (Host) What do you think is?

01:06:25 - Kimber (Guest) And your coherence capacity keeps building and building Right right.

01:06:29 - Chase (Host) What do you think is an area or something that someone might come up against that could be fearful, could be scary, could be deterring from getting them back into or staying into coherence? Because, personally speaking again, the more you come up against your heart and the more I think I realized I was out of coherence, kind of got a little scary.

01:06:51 - Kimber (Guest) So I think what's scary for a lot of people is moving past the known right. So people hold on to things. I'm going to stay in this subpar relationship because I know it. I want to stay in this job. It's not my greatest job, I don't really love it, but at least I know I'm getting a decent salary right. The unknown is really scary for a lot of people. So your heart, as you start to get coherent, you're like actually I have to make a change here.

01:07:16 And that's what happened to me. I had to leave a relationship and it was completely turned my world on my head. It was after my mom passed away suddenly, but it's as we get more clear and coherent. It's like do you want to live a subpar life or do you want what you say you want, which is incredible potential, creating your dreams, having the love, the connection that you really want? So I think there's and that's where the steady heart comes in there's a level of inner trust that starts to build because you realize that real safety and security comes from inside. It doesn't come from making the situation just so right.

01:07:59 My mom worked at this job for like 40 years. When you see the job security comes from these big companies and now we know that. You know things get destabilized. It's not, can't just depend on all these things. So there's a shift and I know this happened for me where the fear is, like you know, we try to control things. Um, the, the brain, the way we're wired. It likes familiar, back to the amygdala. Um, things that are unfamiliar, unknown, can register as a threat. So, over time, what happens? Because this is not just resetting your thoughts, it's resetting your nervous system. So, instead of just being in survival mode all the time various levels of fight or flight you start to come back to rest and digest and this inspired action I really feel called to this. I'm going to do my best. Like you said, if it doesn't work out, I'll still be okay.

01:08:46 - Chase (Host) It's okay.

01:08:47 - Kimber (Guest) I'll ask this person out on a date and if they don't wanna date me, it's okay. They weren't my person. Instead of the crushing self-doubt, the beating yourselves up, so there is a big shift. That happens and it's amazing and it's beautiful. The ego starts to crack away, but it's nonlinear, right. Sometimes you feel steady and then sometimes a lot of fears come up and really, what you're not going backwards, it's just more of who you're not coming up to be shed.

01:09:14 - Chase (Host) So well said, so well said. I think, in the kind of personal development on progressing in life journey, it can feel like that. It can feel like, oh, I'm going backwards or I'm losing the progress that I made. But I think what getting into more coherence can show you is that no, no, no, no. This is just the murkiness that I must go through to clear up these waters.

01:09:33 - Kimber (Guest) Exactly as I got more coherent and I could see more, I was like whoa, I actually have some trauma wounds, abandonment issues, things I didn't know Great. Here's the thing that I need to work on to fix this problem, and now it's apparent, and now I can work with it and shed it, versus not even seeing it but being affected by it. That's the dark heart energy. We don't even see what we don't see, and then you're being really held down. Awareness is like the light. The coherence is light starting to go on.

01:10:09 - Chase (Host) So you can become aware and then you can shift.

01:10:11 That, I think, is probably the biggest takeaway in doing work like this is you don't know what you don't know, you don't know what needs to be worked on, because it is just staying dormant and dark. But once you drop in and you get coherent, you are able to kind of take inventory of the more obvious things that you want to keep and or work on. But oh, like, here are the things that were lurking in the corners of my mind and my heart that I had no idea were even there and for me. Now I get excited about. I'm like man, here's the thing that I didn't know existed. But I get to work on it because I know when I do it's going to get me back into coherence, it's going to elevate my mood on it, because I know when I do it's going to get me back into coherence. It's going to elevate my mood, boost my energy, help me make the best decision I can make every day. I mean I could go on and on, but it's just.

01:10:50 There's a magic to coherence that happens especially when you get to work on the things that you didn't know you needed to work on.

01:10:57 - Kimber (Guest) Exactly, and that's why I want to shout this from the rooftops, because people are looking to these things that feel familiar, like maybe I need more supplements, or maybe I need to do this motivational program, or I need more entrepreneur training or whatever it is. I'm not saying you don't need those things, but unlock this hidden power inside of you and see what happens and see what you're drawn to. I'm teaching this four week heart reset program, chase. We did the first one yes, first class, to 2000 people, and so I'm reading all these stories and these questions and what's amazing about the people that are being called to this, like you, like me, like, hopefully, your listeners, who are listening to this show because they're looking to make change. There's this um, oh, like this, oh, like oh like wow, wow, like oh this pattern.

01:11:50 Yeah, oh, like I could, I could same thing with me. I could see where it come across to my husband, john, like he may feel, like it is a little naggy or like I'm not naggy, you're the one with the clutter versus. Oh, oh, the beingness, how you say things. We create the lives that we want, we create the change. It's so empowering and it's so true, chase, it's not thinking our way, thinking harder, working harder.

01:12:17 - Chase (Host) Oh, stop thinking I'm yelling this at myself. Yeah, also something that my therapist has been telling me all this year is like Chase, there you go, it's your head again, it's your head again.

01:12:27 - Kimber (Guest) And this is amazing that you connected so deeply with this study. I love this.

01:12:33 - Chase (Host) Thank you. I mean again, and you know, it showed me a lot of things that like okay, yes, chase, you knew that these things were important, you knew that you should or should not be acting this way or doing these things or saying these things in terms of your personal life, professional. And then, like I said, it really did show me some other areas of oh, I had no idea.

01:12:50 But I am now in a place in my life and in my heart to like really truly accept those things that I didn't know and to go okay bring it on.

01:13:01 - Kimber (Guest) Yes, beautiful, and that is one of the things that happens as you grow in coherence. If you become more humble, it's like one of the most powerful qualities. Yeah, rigid Like Ooh, you don't see, you keep yourself small. Humbleness is oh, okay, I see I have some work to do there, but with humble, without shame.

01:13:20 - Chase (Host) And a heightened level of confidence too.

01:13:22 - Kimber (Guest) Yes.

01:13:23 - Chase (Host) Confidence and courage, because you need both, especially courage when you come up against these things that are dark and scary or getting you out of coherence. And it's a newfound form of courage that I didn't know that I needed.

01:13:37 - Kimber (Guest) So John and I also wrote a children's book a few months ago called Chilla Gorilla and Linky Lemur. Journey to the Heart.

01:13:44 - Chase (Host) The lemur is based on our eight-year-old.

01:13:45 - Kimber (Guest) But back to courage. This is so powerful for everyone, including children, to learn. So in that book it's really teaching children to come into their hearts, because there can be a lot of fear as we move through this world and especially the modern world that comes up, and we want to teach children and ourselves hey, it's not just running outside and trying to pretend something's not there or fix it, but actually really finding a steadiness inside of you, finding it and then inspired action will come and then you'll pivot and move with life, but you can find real safety inside. And I have to say, Chase, I'm really so happy that you're doing this work and you will deepen into this work before you become a parent, and it's a really powerful thing.

01:14:28 - Chase (Host) Yeah, it's been. It's been a crucial and most necessary preparatory tool for becoming a parent. I think I'm so grateful to have had this now, this, this whole year, um, because I've needed it.

01:14:40 - Kimber (Guest) Yes, it's a beautiful thing for you and your wife to be more coherent, to be coherent as parents. I can say me being more coherent has shifted the family dynamic with our sons there's just more connection. There's still tantrums, but there's, and again that communication. They, they literally get out of tantrums faster. I'm a far more. I don't feel frazzled, I'm just just a better mom, connected. I mean it's amazing.

01:15:05 - Chase (Host) Who doesn't want all of that?

01:15:07 - Kimber (Guest) No kids or not, exactly yeah.

01:15:09 - Chase (Host) I want to touch on one other thing before I get to my last question, and this I think we've kind of touched on a little bit, but for me is probably the biggest point of all of this work, and you talk about it in the book as quantum leaps, the direct result of heart coherence. That blew my mind the most. This was the immediate and unwavering clarity that I think if we could put it into a pill, bottle it up, kimberly, we would be set for life. We would have multi-generational trillionaire.

01:15:36 - Kimber (Guest) Isn't that the way we think?

01:15:39 - Chase (Host) Talk to us about this quantum leap because I can again describe my experience. But it was just just yes, no. And when we have that level of clarity, and even just the smallest decisions in our day, of do I go left or right? Or when it comes to the bigger decisions, of do I ask this person to marry me, do I break up this business partnership when you have that level of clarity, unwavering yes or no, oh you make quantum leaps. I got goosebumps.

01:16:05 - Kimber (Guest) No, I got goosebumps, and not only there, but also think about physical health. We're trying to get into the nuance of how many milligrams of DHA am I supposed to take? And maybe more riboflavin? There's like incremental, you know improvements there. But what if we say you get coherent? For me, 60% increase in energy, a quantum leap in my physical health, and I've been working on my wellness for years.

01:16:27 - Chase (Host) Yeah, that's your thing, exactly.

01:16:29 - Kimber (Guest) So what's amazing about this is going back to the science. Imagine a brain that we haven't learned to tap into. Imagine, from an energetic, spiritual perspective, this portal that's believed to bring us to our highest creative, expansive potential. Non-linear, it's not going to be the way. The propelled heart says step by step, like an instruction manual. Like I get to this and in 10 years I'll get this promotion. Maybe in 15 years I'll be making this amount of money. Like, it's just like step by step. Heart says dynamic, we don't know the timeline is.

01:17:06 - Chase (Host) No bullshit. This is entry level starting position and learning how to immediately become the CEO.

01:17:11 - Kimber (Guest) Well, what about those two women in our study?

01:17:13 - Chase (Host) Oh yeah, Dating app forever.

01:17:15 - Kimber (Guest) They do this for 30 days. Boom, now they're both getting engaged.

01:17:18 - Chase (Host) Thinking I'm giving up on love. I've done everything that.

01:17:21 - Kimber (Guest) I can. Yeah, maybe I need to adopt a child. I won't be able to have one of my own, I'll get another plant.

01:17:46 Quantum leap. This is really what I want. Not dulling down what we want, but saying I changed me. Yeah, I want a family, I want a partner, I want higher health, I want it, and from the heart's power, and you're not saying it's just going to fall into your lap. There is action, steps, but it's far more easeful and inspired and clear to your point. So we're not spinning our wheels, depleting our energy, cleaning up messes when we're, you know, in emotional turbulence, you know, damaging relationships. It's like boom, you become a ninja. Energy is focused. I'm serious, you are, yeah, energy is focused.

01:18:02 - Chase (Host) I'm serious.

01:18:02 - Kimber (Guest) And you become like when you walk into a room like those I don't want to say Jason Bourne, cause he was always kind of noticing bad things, but you, you come in, you perceive so much more. You see the matrix, you see exactly what is, and then you can also see solutions that you couldn't have seen before.

01:18:19 - Chase (Host) You have creative ideas, because coherence means again like there's this inner alignment to your higher you know, higher creative faculties and your potential doing this transform my life Um no bullshit, so happy to hear it I'm so grateful and again someone who has made it his personal interest and professional career for 12 years now to live personal interest and professional career for 12 years now to live, eat, breathe, health, wellness, personal development. When I found something like this, that was this quantum leap.

01:18:55 - Kimber (Guest) I'm like, holy shit, I wish I knew about this, you know years ago, kind of thing. Well, thank you so much for supporting this message and my mission, which is to get to awaken more heart and health on the planet, and being in the study and just being open chase. Really, I just appreciate you so much.

01:19:08 - Chase (Host) Well, again, thank you for doing this, thank you for your commitment to this type of work and putting out amazing books like this. If you guys want to check out the hidden power of the five hearts, um, in the show notes, I'm going to do a giveaway. Kimberly was so grateful to bring a couple extra copies, and I have another one too, actually, from your book launch. Uh, so I'll um, what am I going to do here?

01:19:28 - Kimber (Guest) I'll tell you, I'll sign them.

01:19:30 - Chase (Host) Ooh, all right, I all right. So if you want to sign a copy of the hidden power of the five hearts, I will put details on how to do that in the video description box and podcast show notes. Amazing, so I get to ask you this question again.

01:19:38 - Kimber (Guest) What Amazing.

01:19:39 - Chase (Host) So I get to ask you this question again what does living a life ever forward mean to you? How do you define those two words ever forward?

01:19:53 - Kimber (Guest) So I think we live in the eternal wisdom more and more of our hearts and that moves us forward into the most aligned, effective, incredible, expansive ways. So to be ever forward in your highest potential is to be ever in your heart and your heart coherence.

01:20:09 - Chase (Host) I knew heart had to be in there. Yeah, for more information on everything you just heard, make sure to check this episode, show notes or head to everforwardradio.com
