If I wasn’t persistent in following the dreams and the goals that I had set for myself in the very beginning, if I wasn’t persistent in overcoming and moving forward despite the rejection, despite the no’s that came along [with] it, then I probably wouldn’t be where I am today.

The Ultimate Guide to Creatine Supplementation: Boost Your Athletic Performance, Reduce Sleep Deprivation Effects, Treat Depression, Boost Brain Power and Improve Overall Health
Are you looking to take your athletic performance and overall health to the next level? Look no further than creatine supplementation. This naturally occurring substance is found in our muscles and can be supplemented to enhance strength, muscle mass, and recovery time. In this guide, we'll explore the benefits of creatine and how it can be used to improve various aspects of your health.
What is Creatine?
Creatine is a naturally occurring substance that is made in our bodies and stored in our muscles. It helps generate ATP, which is essential for energy during exercise. While our bodies produce some creatine naturally, we can also supplement it to enhance its effects.
"Creatine is often used by athletes involved in high-intensity intermittent activities that require a rapid recovery during training and competition."
Benefits of Creatine
The benefits of creatine are numerous and varied. It can improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, improve brain health, and even reduce skin sag and wrinkles. Here are some of the specific benefits:
Strength, muscle size, and recovery:
Creatine supplementation has been shown to increase muscle strength and size, improve high-intensity exercise performance, and reduce muscle damage and inflammation. It can also help with post-workout recovery and reduce soreness.
Brain health:
Creatine is abundant in the brain and can be used as an energy source for mental tasks. Studies have shown that creatine supplementation can lead to improved cognitive processing, mental acuity, and reduced mental fatigue.
Depression:
According to a study published in the Biological Psychology Journal, creatine may have a significant impact on managing depression. The study found that creatine is a neuroprotective compound with the potential to treat or mitigate a broad range of central nervous systems diseases, including depression.
How to Incorporate Creatine into Your Routine
The optimal creatine protocol is still to be determined, but studies have shown that taking 5g of creatine monohydrate daily for men and 3.5-5g for women. However, there is no wrong way or time to take it as long as you are getting a regular daily dose. It's important to note that caffeine and alcohol, both diuretics, can decrease the efficacy of creatine and worsen dehydration, muscle cramps, and other side effects.
Choosing the Right Creatine Supplement
When it comes to choosing a creatine supplement, there are a few things to keep in mind. Look for a product that is pure creatine monohydrate, as this is the most studied and effective form of creatine. Avoid products that contain added sugars, fillers, or other unnecessary ingredients. It's also important to choose a reputable brand that has been third-party tested for purity and potency.
"One recommended product for creatine supplementation is the Recharge post-workout drink from Legion Athletics. Not only does it provide the benefits of creatine, but it also offers a money-back guarantee."
Overall, creatine supplementation can be a safe and effective way to enhance your athletic performance and overall health. With its numerous benefits and minimal side effects, it's no wonder why creatine has been a staple in the sports performance and recovery world for decades.

Recharge Post-Workout
Creatine is a natural compound made up of the amino acids L-arginine, glycine, and methionine. Our body can produce creatine naturally, but it can also absorb and store creatine found in various foods like meat, eggs, and fish.
Creatine monohydrate is creatine with one molecule of water attached to it. This form of creatine has been around (and studied) for decades and is a tried-and-true winner, whereas other forms have failed to produce better results.
The creatine monohydrate in Recharge has also been micronized, which is a process that produces very fine particles that are more water soluble and easier to digest. Thus, micronized creatine monohydrate mixes better with liquid than the non-micronized form and is less likely to upset sensitive stomachs.
Research shows that supplementation with creatine monohydrate . . .
Boosts muscle and strength gain
Improves anaerobic endurance
Reduces muscle damage and soreness from exercise
Increases the amount of glycogen your muscles can store
Helps preserve lean mass and strength while restricting calories

Transitioning from Military to Civilian Life: Challenges and Solutions
Transitioning from military to civilian life can be a daunting task. It is a time of change, adjustment, and uncertainty. In this podcast, I share my personal experience from six years of active duty Army service, how I navigated being medically retired and resources to help other veterans and civilians alike navigate this unique transition.
In this episode, I begin by highlighting the common challenges during readjustment to civilian life, including relating to people who do not understand military personnel's experiences, reconnecting with family and reestablishing a role in the family, and finding employment. I emphasize the importance of being of service first and making connections with potential employers before asking for a job. I also stress the need for support and community during this transition.
"The transition from civilian to military and then military back to civilian is perhaps one of the most unique, most demanding, and most trying transitions of pretty much anything that I can think of, especially when it comes to identity, employment, community, and also mental health."
One of the biggest challenges that we veterans face when transitioning to civilian life is the lack of structure and support. In the military, there is a clear chain of command and a sense of community. However, outside the military, veterans may feel lost and alone. Joining or creating a community can help veterans feel connected and supported. The military provides a lot of support when it comes to moving to a new base or post, but this support is not automatically in place when someone separates from the military. Veterans and their families may have to find new ways to join or create a social community.
I also share resources from the US Department of Veterans Affairs and Military.com to help veterans navigate the transition. The article from the US Department of Veterans Affairs highlights the challenges veterans may find difficult, including relating to people who do not understand military personnel's experiences, reconnecting with family and reestablishing a role in the family, and finding employment.
"Finding veteran friendly employers not only means that, you know, they're aware, most of what we've gone through and have systems in place to better support that transition, but odds are you're gonna be working with a lot more veterans than non veterans."
I suggest finding military-friendly employers as they are actively seeking to hire veterans and appreciate the qualities they bring to the workplace. This can also provide a sense of community and support during the transition. I also advise veterans to identify their transferable skills and think about how they can be translated into a civilian job. For example, if you were in charge of a team or equipment, this shows leadership and responsibility, which are highly valued in the corporate world.
Attending a Transition Assistance Program (TAP) workshop is a great way to get started on your transition. The workshop covers everything from career exploration to job search strategies. It also provides valuable information on resume, cover letter, and interview preparation. The VA recommends attending a TAP workshop within 180 days of separation or retirement.
My personal experience provides insight into the challenges veterans face when transitioning from military to civilian life. I share my struggles with finding employment and reestablishing a role in my family. Chewning's story is a reminder that the transition from military to civilian life is not easy, but with the right resources and support, veterans can successfully navigate this unique transition.
If you are a veteran or know a veteran, this episode is a must-listen. It provides valuable insight into the challenges veterans face when transitioning from military to civilian life and offers resources to help. Remember, you are not alone in this transition, and there is support available to help you succeed.

The Journey Within: Tapping into Your Innate Wisdom and Goodness
Are you feeling lost or disconnected from your purpose in life? Do you want to tap into your innate wisdom and goodness? Look no further than the journey within. In this podcast, we explore the power of going within and connecting with your body, mind, and spirit to discover your true purpose and passion in life.
Yedda Stancil provides insight that is a must-listen for anyone looking to embark on a journey of personal growth and evolution. Yedda, a certified narrative coach and mindfulness meditation teacher, shares her expertise in this podcast, breaking down the components of going within and providing simple tools for beginning, continuing, and ending the journey.
One of the key takeaways from this podcast is that the ego is not something to be feared or eliminated. Instead, we learn to work with it and use it as a guide on our journey of personal growth and evolution. By becoming aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we can begin to break down the limiting beliefs that hold us back and prevent us from living our best lives.
The Power of Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of being present and aware of our thoughts and feelings without judgment. By practicing mindfulness, we can become more aware of our internal processes and make lasting changes that lead to a more fulfilling life. Yedda emphasizes the importance of understanding the thinking, feeling, behaving process. She explains that behavior change begins and ends in the unconscious, and that true change requires addressing the thoughts and beliefs that drive our emotions and actions.
'Behavior change actually starts begins and ends in the unconscious which is what's underneath the surface of our own psyche.'
Yedda's approach to personal growth and evolution is unique in that it focuses on making friends with our own ego. She teaches clients how to become aware of their thoughts and beliefs, and how to choose which ones serve them and which ones do not.
'What I really had to learn was to how to make friends with my own ego.'
The Power of Theta Brainwaves and Reprogramming Your Habits
Many of our habits and beliefs are formed during our early childhood years, between the ages of two and seven. During this time, we are in a state of subconsciousness, which is characterized by delta and theta brainwaves. These same brainwaves are also activated during hypnosis and mindfulness practices.
Theta brainwaves are programmable, which means that we can use them to reprogram our habits and beliefs. This is where hypnosis comes in. Hypnosis is the process of pulling up subconscious thoughts and beliefs into conscious awareness, rewriting them, and then pushing them back into the subconscious. By doing this, we can change our limiting beliefs and habits and create new, more empowering ones.
But how do we know what beliefs and habits we need to change? It all starts with self-awareness. We need to go within and examine our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This is where mindfulness comes in. By practicing mindfulness, we can become more aware of our limiting beliefs and habits and begin to change them.
The Power of Trusting Your Soul
Yedda believes that the key to unlocking our inner power is to become still and listen to our body and mind. By tuning into our inner world, we can access a deep well of wisdom and intuition that can guide us towards our true purpose and potential.
Through mindfulness, we can learn to let go of negative patterns and beliefs that hold us back, and cultivate a sense of inner peace and compassion. This can lead to greater happiness, fulfillment, and success in all areas of our lives.
So if you're ready to take the journey within and tap into your innate wisdom and goodness, tune in to today's episode!
Powerful quotes by Yedda:
Unleash your inner wisdom and goodness to embark on a journey of personal growth. It's already inside of you!
Reprogram your behavioral habit loop with Theta brain waves and unlock your true potential.
Silence is the key to unconditioned consciousness. Cultivate your mindfulness muscle and connect with your inner knowingness.

'Society's obsession with youth is harmful. We need to embrace aging and recognize that we still have a lot to offer.'

Kotler emphasizes the need to find your challenge skill sweet spot and to show up every day to push yourself. He believes that this is the key to peak performance and to living a fulfilling life.

Powerful Quotes by Steven Kotler
We have the best chance to drop into flow when the challenge of the task is about 5% greater than the skills we’re bringing to it.
Peak performers, the best of the best, use fear as a compass.
If you want to just thrive through the course of your life, there are certain things you need to do by certain periods. By age 30, you really sort of need to solve the crisis of identity… By age 40, you sort of need what economists call match fit – a tight link between who you are and what you do with most of your time… By 50, we have to forgive ourselves and we have to forgive others who have done us wrong.
Older adults who experience incredibly powerful emotions live longer and healthier lives… one of the reasons is when we experience very powerful, positive emotions, we boost the number of T cells, which fight disease, and then natural killer cells, which target tumors and other sick cells.
Oddly, one of the biggest drivers of confidence is leg strength.
Episode resources:
“How do I keep promises I make to myself?” This is a question I get asked a lot, and it’s one that all of us can benefit from knowing the answer to.
The ability to make and keep promises directly impacts our level of success in everything we do—whether it’s a promise to go to the gym regularly or stick to a diet, to double down on a side hustle or a relationship, or to follow through on writing a book or starting a podcast.
Listen in as I talk about the common reasons we don’t stick to our own promises, and why we shouldn’t beat ourselves up when we fail to meet our own standards. I also share four powerful tips for making better promises and seeing them through to fruition!
Follow me on Instagram @chase_chewning
Key Highlights
The word “promise” can be used as either a noun or a verb. As a noun, a promise is “a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing, or that a particular thing will happen.” As a verb, when you promise something, you “undertake or declare that something will happen,” or “give good grounds for expecting a particular occurrence or situation.”
Promises can quickly become too strict a commitment that holds too much emotionally-negative weight when not kept. If you’re constantly beating yourself up over broken promises, try changing your definition of “promise” from that of a noun to a verb. That means committing to the path rather than the destination. It means committing to the pursuit of the goal: the process, baby steps, and small wins required to accomplish what you set out to do.
We know that we can keep getting away with broken promises when the only person we’re accountable to is ourselves. Take the pressure off of yourself by sharing your commitments with people you’re comfortable confiding in. This not only helps you grow your sphere of accountability beyond yourself, but it also allows you to gain precious feedback from those you trust.
Lean into positive reinforcement. Reward yourself only for promises you actually keep, and dismiss the promises you fail to keep. When you assign feelings of happiness, contentment, and fulfillment to small kept promises, you’re more likely to follow through with larger promises.
If there’s a particular promise that you’re continually breaking not long after making it, consider that you don’t really want it. For the sake of your mental health and the likelihood of fulfilling all other future promises you make to yourself, you might want to walk away from that one promise you keep failing to commit to.
Powerful Quotes
If you’re repeatedly failing yourself by breaking promises, I don’t think you really want it.
The most respectable thing you can do in the act of making promises to yourself, is to always act out of your truth and to act out of integrity.
When we have clarity of what we want for our lives, every other choice and promise we make is out of integrity to our most innate truth.

EFR 706: One Year of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) and Why I am Stopping
00:00:00
00:00:00
Chase here! In this solo episode, I’m breaking down why I started testosterone replacement therapy a year ago. I share my results almost 15 months later and why I’ve decided to stop.
If you’ve followed my TRT journey on social media, you’ve seen my dosages, you’ve seen how I’ve changed physically, and you’ve seen how my numbers have gone up at the gym. But there’s a lot that I haven’t shared yet. I haven’t shared how I’ve administered my dosages, nor the side effects I’ve experienced.
Listen in as I come clean about my testosterone replacement therapy journey, from why I started in the first place, to specifics regarding my labs and personal regimen, and why my journey is coming to an end.
Key Highlights
I was determined to enter my 37th birthday in October 2022 as the best me possible. I didn’t just want to look at my best. I wanted to feel at my best. I was no slouch at 36. I was doing great physically, and I felt it. But I knew there was room for fine-tuning. I became more regimented, both inside and outside the gym, but being in my mid-30s, I began to struggle with keeping up that level of motivation. Not to mention it was tough to maintain my body composition despite my increased efforts. This was why I decided to explore TRT to provide that edge.
If you’re considering TRT, the very first thing you should do is check in with yourself. Do a head-to-toe scan and be as objective as you can, and even a little critical, about what you see and feel. Get clear on what you want out of your day and out of your training. Compare those ideals with your current day-to-day realities. Always keep in mind that TRT is not a quick fix—not that you should ever pursue anything because it’s a quick fix anyway!
I ultimately decided to stop testosterone replacement therapy for two reasons. The first was that I experienced skin issues that slightly impacted my social life. Secondly, even though TRT did not negatively impact my sexual activity, I’ve recently decided to prioritize my fertility health over my muscle mass. These two reasons are why, after 14 months, I’ve begun to titrate down and eventually go off TRT completely.
Powerful Quotes
Do not pursue anything in life that is going to be a quick fix.
Living a life ever forward is choosing the hard right over the easy wrong.
If I’m begrudgingly going into any task, I’m stressed and my cortisol is elevated. When you keep cortisol elevated chronically, it’s a slippery slope to a lot of bad things.

What contributes more to happiness - personal evolution or professional evolution?
Research shows that both personal and professional growth are crucial for overall well-being, but in different ways. Personal evolution focuses on our inner development, such as improving our relationships, finding our purpose, and developing self-awareness. Professional evolution, on the other hand, centers around career advancement and financial stability.
We welcome back Cody McBroom, a coach specializing in fitness and nutrition, and he believes that personal evolution is the key to unlocking true happiness. He stresses that working on our inner selves, such as setting goals that align with our values and working on our emotional intelligence, can have a profound impact on our overall satisfaction with life.
Speaking of emotional intelligence, Cody emphasizes the importance of listening to our feelings when it comes to our health and fitness goals. He believes that our bodies are intelligent and can provide us with important information about what we need. For instance, if we're feeling tired, it may be a sign that we need more rest rather than pushing ourselves through another workout.
However, Cody also acknowledges that sometimes we need to push through our feelings in order to make progress. This is particularly true when it comes to sticking to a healthy meal plan or exercise routine. He encourages his clients to develop self-discipline and commit to their goals even when it feels tough.
But what about after we've reached our goals? Cody's approach to coaching people through maintenance involves finding a sustainable balance between healthy habits and indulgences. He emphasizes the importance of enjoying the journey and finding ways to make healthy living enjoyable rather than a chore.
One way to optimize our health and fitness is by focusing on our hormones. Cody highlights the connection between hormones, sleep, and body composition. He suggests prioritizing sleep and reducing stress levels to optimize hormonal balance and achieve our desired body composition.
Finally, Cody shares his candid opinion on body positivity. While he believes in promoting self-love and body acceptance, he also acknowledges that there is a fine line between body positivity and encouraging unhealthy habits. He encourages his clients to focus on making healthy choices that make them feel good, rather than solely striving for a certain aesthetic.

Powerful Quotes by Cody McBroom
If you can work through your own pain in your story, you’re able to help somebody else work through theirs and their story.
I’ll never be satisfied, but I am constantly fulfilled.
What you’re doing in maintenance is going to serve your next physical goal and that’s really important.
There’s a reason why working really hard has a very strong dopamine response afterwards and if you just get handed that result, it doesn’t have that same dopamine response. It’s the work you put in to get that that matters.

EFR 704: How I Remove Limiting Beliefs, Live Intentionally, Set Boundaries & Stay Committed to Myself
00:00:00
00:00:00
From a recent conversation with Eli Weinstein, in this episode I share my decades-long journey to discovering and embracing the real Chase Chewning! It’s a journey that reached its critical point when I turned 35 during the COVID outbreak in 2020.
Like everyone else, my world was flipped on its head, and I’d started questioning deep-seated beliefs I’d held all my life. My goal? To rid myself of the beliefs that didn’t serve me and replace them with beliefs that do.
The one question that I always asked myself, whether or not I was conscious of it, was:
“Do I feel safe?” And ultimately, that boiled down to yet another question: “Am I loved?”
And if I felt no safety or love at any moment—in holding onto a given belief, in interacting with a certain individual, in inhabiting a particular room—then I gained the clarity and the courage to climb over those walls that kept me in and found my freedom.
Eli and I give our thoughts on the process of living an intentional life with a full commitment to oneself, from setting healthy boundaries, to avoiding a life lived in fear of other people’s opinions, to the true meaning of living life ever forward.

Key Highlights
We take a lot of our beliefs for granted, mainly because we lived our whole lives up to this point assuming they were fundamental “truths”. But if we really sit down and think about those beliefs, we can determine which of them serve us and which of them are nothing more than destructive forces that impede our growth.
When we find ourselves needing to walk away from someone in our life who no longer supports our mental or emotional health, we need to fall back on our boundaries. It’s easier said than done to create strong, healthy boundaries, but we need them in order to stay in a constant state of safety, security, and love.
We fall into selfishness when we rely on others to dictate our moral compass. This can be as serious as having our values shaped by other people or as insignificant as wearing certain clothes to avoid being judged in a certain way by those around us.
Living life “ever forward” comes down to sharing lessons learned from significant, often difficult, life experiences with others, whether through conversations or creating content or even monetizing those lessons through a product.
Powerful Quotes
There’s something extremely dynamic and extremely radical about shifting—rebuilding your entire belief system and framework for who you are and what you want to do.
One of my core values is integrity: doing whatever I deem to be right whether I’m in the presence of others or in the presence of myself.
How much more powerful are our human experiences when we connect with another person who just gets us?
