Unlocking the Mysteries of Fertility Health
Fertility is a subject that is often shrouded in mystery and misconceptions. In our recent podcast episode, we navigated the intricate world of fertility with renowned specialist Dr. Karenne Fru, MD. The discussion shed light on the startling decline in fertility rates, the economic and racial factors influencing the decision to delay parenthood, and the importance of initiating conversations about fertility health, especially among marginalized communities.

Understanding the Decline in Fertility Rates
We live in a world where the fertility rate has dropped by more than 50% over the past 50 years. Economic factors such as the cost of child care, the cost of raising a child, and access to care issues have led to couples delaying their decision to have children. In particular, black and brown women tend to seek out care four and half to five years later than their white counterparts. The conversation highlighted the urgent need to address this issue proactively, as the survival of the species depends on it.
Delving into Female Fertility Health
The complexities of the female reproductive cycle were brought to light, shedding light on how chronic illnesses, mental health, and body weight can directly impact fertility health. The podcast also explored the concept of 'terminal dysfunction' or menopause, and how its timeline varies for each individual. Furthermore, the role of egg banking was discussed, highlighting its potential to preserve fertility for women who choose to delay parenthood.
Male Role in Fertility and Low Testosterone
The conversation didn't stop at female fertility. The episode also delved into the importance of male gametes, sperm health, and the effects of male infertility. The anatomy and physiology of sperm production were broken down, stressing the need for healthy sperm counts and morphology for successful conception. The podcast also highlighted the complexities of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and fertility health, emphasizing the need for men to take their reproductive health seriously and think about potential future family goals.
Exploring IVF and Genetic Testing for Embryos
For those who have ever wondered about In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), artificial intelligence in fertility care, or genetic testing for embryos, this episode served as an enlightening discussion. Dr. Fru and I unpacked these complex topics, discussing the potential of technology in assisting couples on their journey to parenthood.
Embracing Risk and Being an Experiment
The episode concluded on a powerful note, encouraging listeners to conduct personal experiments to better understand their bodies. As Dr. Fru rightly pointed out, "seeking help is powerful". We emphasized the need for people to be proactive about partnering with their healthcare providers and make informed decisions about their fertility and health journey.
In summary, this enlightening conversation with Dr. Fru provided a wealth of resources and insights into the intricate world of fertility, aiming to empower individuals on their path to parenthood. The episode drove home the point that understanding and taking charge of your fertility health is crucial, not just for you, but for the survival of our species.

Understanding Your Brain Type
Do you ever feel like you don't quite understand why you do the things you do? Or why you can't seem to make the changes you want to make? It could be that you don't understand your brain type. In this episode we discuss the concept of 'brain type' and how it can help us understand ourselves better with the authors of Override: Discover Your Brain Type, Why You Do What You Do and How to Do It Better, Dr. Connell Cowan, PhD and David Kipper, MD.
What is Brain Type?
Brain type is a concept that looks at the differences in our brain chemistry and how it affects our behavior. Drs. Cowan and Kipper explain that there are two types of brain chemistry: sword and shield. Swords are more likely to be drawn to stimulating activities, while shields are more likely to be drawn to calming activities. This can be seen in behaviors such as playing slot machines, addiction, and sustaining a sexual relationship.
Can We Change Our Brain Chemistry?
While we can't necessarily change our brain chemistry, we can adapt to it and use behavioral changes to stimulate more of a change in the brain. We can also use pharmacology to add in serotonin for shields and dopamine for swords. David explains that “we have to let ourselves be a little uncomfortable” in order to make lasting changes.
Aging Speed and Brain Type
We also discuss the concept of aging speed and how it relates to brain type. The good doctors explain that swords are more vulnerable to addictions, while shields are more vulnerable to opiate addiction and alcohol. They also explain that both sides can be overweight, but for different reasons. Understanding your brain type can help you understand why you do the things you do and make lasting changes.
Conclusion
Understanding your brain type can help you understand why you do the things you do and make lasting changes. It's important to understand your brain type in order to make lasting changes. They also explain that understanding your brain type can help you understand why you do the things you do and make lasting changes. If you want to learn more about brain type and how it can help you make lasting changes, be sure to listen to the full podcast episode.
“It's really important to be able to put a perspective on their brain chemistry. It really does Kipper bring the concept of know thyself into a whole new light.”
If you're looking to better understand yourself and take back the wheel of your life, this podcast episode is a great place to start.

EFR 720: Dale Moss on Resilience, Personal Growth and Setting Boundaries
00:00:00
00:00:00
We all need boundaries in our lives. They help us to protect our physical, emotional, and mental health, and to establish healthy relationships with ourselves and others. But what exactly is a boundary, and why are they so important? In this episode, we’ll explore the concept of boundaries and how to set them in order to maintain healthy relationships.

What is a Boundary?
A boundary is a limit or space between you and another person. It is a way of defining and protecting your personal space. It is important to set boundaries in order to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself and others. Boundaries can be physical, emotional, or mental.
Why are Boundaries Important?
Boundaries are important because they help us to protect our physical, emotional, and mental health. They help us to establish healthy relationships with ourselves and others. They also help us to communicate our needs and wants in a respectful way. Boundaries help us to stay in control of our lives and to make sure that we are not taken advantage of.
How to Set Boundaries
Setting boundaries can be difficult, but it is an important part of maintaining healthy relationships. Here are some tips for setting boundaries:
Be clear and direct about what you want and don't want.
Be assertive and don't be afraid to say no.
Be consistent in your boundaries.
Be willing to compromise.
Be respectful of other people's boundaries.
The Benefits of Setting Boundaries
Setting boundaries can help you to feel more in control of your life and relationships. It can also help you to communicate your needs and wants in a respectful way. When you set boundaries, you are also showing respect for yourself and others. This can lead to healthier relationships and a greater sense of self-worth.
Understanding and Reflection
Dale emphasizes the importance of understanding and reflection when it comes to setting boundaries.
“I think it’s important for people to really understand the value of, like, not being afraid to put themselves first at times. Because we’re in a day and age where so many people and so many things have access to us. And it’s so easy to get lost in whatever it is, the job, social media, and all these things. And we don’t even fully realize it sometimes.”
Making Your Partner a Priority
Dale also talks about the importance of making your partner a priority in a relationship. He says,
“We both have so many things going on in life. And what I always try to hold on to is everyone wants to be made to feel important. They wanna know that they matter, and they wanna know that they're not an end alone.”
He emphasizes the importance of understanding that relationships are always fifty fifty, and that it’s important to set boundaries and priorities in order to protect each other.
Dropping the Wall
Dale also talks about how he has been able to drop the wall with his partner and be open and vulnerable.
“I did this upfront. Because it was important for me for my partner to know exactly where I stood. And also, I wanted to see what they would give give me.”
He emphasizes the importance of being willing to open up and share things with your partner, as you can’t expect them to do the same if you’re not willing to do it yourself.
Navigating Walls and Delays
Dale also talks about how he has had to navigate walls and delays in his work. He says,
“You just gotta fucking keep going. I mean, yeah, really, that's what it ultimately comes down to it. But I've I've learned a lot this year and had an accelerated course on how to produce a docuseries.”
He emphasizes the importance of having passion for what you’re doing, and how it can help you to stay motivated and focused.
The Power of Action
Dale emphasizes the importance of taking action. He says...
“I think action is the number one thing I could say. I think I really vibe with action taking action to definitely just shake you out of that head space of uncertainty.”
Taking action can help to limit insecurities and can help to move forward in life. He also emphasizes the importance of surrounding yourself with people that you trust and respect, as environment is an extremely important factor in navigating uncertainty.
Conclusion
Setting boundaries is an important part of maintaining healthy relationships. It is important to be clear and direct about what you want and don't want, be assertive, be consistent, be willing to compromise, and be respectful of other people's boundaries.

Zach Pogrob is here to explain the importance of having a massive vision and goal and how to recognize obsession in others. He shares his story of leaving college soccer and finding his passion as well as the difference between positive and negative obsessions. Zach also shares his insights on how to build something great with a small team, something he thinks modern solopreneurs are missing the mark on.

The Power of Obsession: Unleashing Your Full Potential
Zach Pogrob, a renowned content creator, sat down with me to discuss the concept of obsession and its role in achieving success. The conversation revolved around the idea that obsession is a driving force that can propel individuals to greatness in their chosen fields.
The discussion delved into the concept of life as a battlefield, drawing inspiration from the stoic philosophy of Epictetus. Zach emphasized the importance of choosing the right war, or in other words, finding a passion or purpose that truly resonates with an individual. When one is deeply committed to a vision or mission, the trivialities of life fade away, and the focus becomes solely on the pursuit of that goal.
Zach also touched upon the contagious nature of obsession. He highlighted the power of supporting and following someone else's obsession, as it can inspire and ignite a similar level of passion within oneself. By immersing oneself in the stories and experiences of great obsessives, whether through podcasts, books, or biographies, one can fill their mind with the energy and drive necessary to discover their own obsession.
But how does one find their own obsession? Pogrob suggests that creation is the key. By creating and experimenting with different ideas and projects, individuals can tap into that feeling of obsession. It may take time and persistence, but through the process of creation, one can uncover their true passion and purpose.
Currently, Zach's own obsession lies in the realm of products. He is fascinated by the process of packaging obsession into tangible goods and vehicles for expression. As he transitions from content creation to building his own brand, he is driven by the desire to create magic companies that resonate with his audience and fulfill his own creative vision.
The power of obsession cannot be underestimated. It is a force that can propel individuals to greatness, fuel their creativity, and provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment. By following obsession, whether it be one's own or someone else's, individuals can tap into their true potential and achieve remarkable things.

Health Is Not A Matter of Chance; It’s A Matter of Choice
First and foremost, health has to be a choice. We have to choose that we want to maintain the level of health, emotional intelligence, mental, spiritual, physical strength, and wellness that we already have. Maintenance of what you have still takes work. When have you been in the maintenance stage of your health? Well, maintenance doesn’t mean you get to rest. Instead, maintenance means you are staying consistent. If you choose to maintain what you have and what you have worked for, it’s a choice. Beyond that, you don’t have to accept the cards you dealt. Instead, it would help if you chose to get back to your health.
Remember, Someone Else Has It Worse Than You
There is always someone else who has it worse than you. By other people showing up, it can empower you to show up. If you have a new diagnosis of a chronic illness, take five minutes and find someone with that exact diagnosis which is doing more than you are. For instance, Paralympic athletes choose to do more with the cards they are dealt. With every diagnosis, there is a way through it. The first step is to accept that there is a different way, and you have to take responsibility for yourself. Then, it would help if you practiced gratitude on your healing journey. Lastly, you need to take action steps.
The Challenges of Dealing With Your Mental Health Journey
Dealing with your mental health is more challenging than your physical health. Mental health is not as obvious on your journey to health. When you’re enduring an injury or an illness, it will get worse before it gets better. However, what you’re doing now is going to help you get strong in broken places. If you properly rehabilitate a broken bone, it will come back stronger than before. In addition, if you focus on the parts of yourself that have been traumatized, you will mentally come back more substantial on the other side. Allow yourself time and space to feel.
Improve Your Mental Wellbeing Through Therapeutic Experiences
Chase has been using recreationally but very intentionally a lot of therapeutic experiences. There’s a lot of biochemistry with certain plant medicines and psychedelics, but at its core, what Chase believes is happening is this incredible unlocking experience of the mind and the body’s ability to detach from the self. Consciousness is first and foremost out to protect us to keep us safe and away from any physical or mental harm. You don’t have to first go to plant medicine if you’re trying to heal from mental health challenges. Instead, breathwork can be something that gives you an out-of-body experience.
Ketamine: A Tool For Rapid Relief of Mental Health Challenges
Chase has gone through multiple ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions. All of his sessions were life-changing and profound experiences. It helps you detach from yourself. Chase has had multiple ego deaths. You can recognize the oneness through psychedelics and become much more at peace with death. With psychedelics, there is a tremendous sense of love. Our ordinary day-to-day consciousness doesn’t allow us to understand. Psychedelics helped Chase navigate grief, PTSD, anger, and sadness. Now, Chase is finally in the acceptance phase of grief after three sessions of ketamine.

Transform Your Emotional State with These Simple Steps
Are you feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed? Do you want to change your emotional state and feel more calm, centered, and focused? If so, you're in the right place. In this podcast episode, Chase Tuning shares his personal experience and practical tips for transforming your emotional state and improving your overall well-being.
Step 1: Acknowledge Your Feelings
The first step to transforming your emotional state is to acknowledge your feelings. Don't try to suppress or ignore them. Instead, take a few minutes to sit with them, feel them, and identify where you feel them in your body. This simple act of awareness can help you release some of the tension and stress that you're holding onto.
Step 2: Move Your Body
Another key to changing your emotional state is to move your body. This can be as simple as taking a walk, doing some yoga, or dancing to your favorite song. Physical movement helps release endorphins, which are natural mood boosters. It also helps you shift your focus away from your thoughts and into your body, which can be a powerful way to reduce stress and anxiety.
Step 3: Connect with a Trusted Resource
One of the most effective ways to change your emotional state is to connect with a trusted resource, whether that's a friend, family member, or therapist. Talking to someone you trust can help you feel heard, seen, and supported. It can also help you gain a new perspective on your situation and find solutions to your problems.
Transforming your emotional state is essential to living a fulfilling life. By following these simple steps, you can improve your overall well-being and achieve your goals. Don't let stress, anxiety, or overwhelm hold you back. Take action today and start living a life ever for it.

The Ultimate Guide to Creatine Supplementation: Boost Your Athletic Performance, Reduce Sleep Deprivation Effects, Treat Depression, Boost Brain Power and Improve Overall Health
Are you looking to take your athletic performance and overall health to the next level? Look no further than creatine supplementation. This naturally occurring substance is found in our muscles and can be supplemented to enhance strength, muscle mass, and recovery time. In this guide, we'll explore the benefits of creatine and how it can be used to improve various aspects of your health.
What is Creatine?
Creatine is a naturally occurring substance that is made in our bodies and stored in our muscles. It helps generate ATP, which is essential for energy during exercise. While our bodies produce some creatine naturally, we can also supplement it to enhance its effects.
"Creatine is often used by athletes involved in high-intensity intermittent activities that require a rapid recovery during training and competition."
Benefits of Creatine
The benefits of creatine are numerous and varied. It can improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, improve brain health, and even reduce skin sag and wrinkles. Here are some of the specific benefits:
Strength, muscle size, and recovery:
Creatine supplementation has been shown to increase muscle strength and size, improve high-intensity exercise performance, and reduce muscle damage and inflammation. It can also help with post-workout recovery and reduce soreness.
Brain health:
Creatine is abundant in the brain and can be used as an energy source for mental tasks. Studies have shown that creatine supplementation can lead to improved cognitive processing, mental acuity, and reduced mental fatigue.
Depression:
According to a study published in the Biological Psychology Journal, creatine may have a significant impact on managing depression. The study found that creatine is a neuroprotective compound with the potential to treat or mitigate a broad range of central nervous systems diseases, including depression.
How to Incorporate Creatine into Your Routine
The optimal creatine protocol is still to be determined, but studies have shown that taking 5g of creatine monohydrate daily for men and 3.5-5g for women. However, there is no wrong way or time to take it as long as you are getting a regular daily dose. It's important to note that caffeine and alcohol, both diuretics, can decrease the efficacy of creatine and worsen dehydration, muscle cramps, and other side effects.
Choosing the Right Creatine Supplement
When it comes to choosing a creatine supplement, there are a few things to keep in mind. Look for a product that is pure creatine monohydrate, as this is the most studied and effective form of creatine. Avoid products that contain added sugars, fillers, or other unnecessary ingredients. It's also important to choose a reputable brand that has been third-party tested for purity and potency.
"One recommended product for creatine supplementation is the Recharge post-workout drink from Legion Athletics. Not only does it provide the benefits of creatine, but it also offers a money-back guarantee."
Overall, creatine supplementation can be a safe and effective way to enhance your athletic performance and overall health. With its numerous benefits and minimal side effects, it's no wonder why creatine has been a staple in the sports performance and recovery world for decades.

Recharge Post-Workout
Creatine is a natural compound made up of the amino acids L-arginine, glycine, and methionine. Our body can produce creatine naturally, but it can also absorb and store creatine found in various foods like meat, eggs, and fish.
Creatine monohydrate is creatine with one molecule of water attached to it. This form of creatine has been around (and studied) for decades and is a tried-and-true winner, whereas other forms have failed to produce better results.
The creatine monohydrate in Recharge has also been micronized, which is a process that produces very fine particles that are more water soluble and easier to digest. Thus, micronized creatine monohydrate mixes better with liquid than the non-micronized form and is less likely to upset sensitive stomachs.
Research shows that supplementation with creatine monohydrate . . .
Boosts muscle and strength gain
Improves anaerobic endurance
Reduces muscle damage and soreness from exercise
Increases the amount of glycogen your muscles can store
Helps preserve lean mass and strength while restricting calories
Get our 100% natural post-workout drink with clinically effective doses of scientifically proven ingredients for more muscle and strength, better post-workout recovery, and less soreness.

Your brand is not your logo, your brand is not your website, your brand is the way that people perceive your business. It’s a very energetic, emotional, visceral feeling.

Transitioning from Military to Civilian Life: Challenges and Solutions
Transitioning from military to civilian life can be a daunting task. It is a time of change, adjustment, and uncertainty. In this podcast, I share my personal experience from six years of active duty Army service, how I navigated being medically retired and resources to help other veterans and civilians alike navigate this unique transition.
In this episode, I begin by highlighting the common challenges during readjustment to civilian life, including relating to people who do not understand military personnel's experiences, reconnecting with family and reestablishing a role in the family, and finding employment. I emphasize the importance of being of service first and making connections with potential employers before asking for a job. I also stress the need for support and community during this transition.
"The transition from civilian to military and then military back to civilian is perhaps one of the most unique, most demanding, and most trying transitions of pretty much anything that I can think of, especially when it comes to identity, employment, community, and also mental health."
One of the biggest challenges that we veterans face when transitioning to civilian life is the lack of structure and support. In the military, there is a clear chain of command and a sense of community. However, outside the military, veterans may feel lost and alone. Joining or creating a community can help veterans feel connected and supported. The military provides a lot of support when it comes to moving to a new base or post, but this support is not automatically in place when someone separates from the military. Veterans and their families may have to find new ways to join or create a social community.
I also share resources from the US Department of Veterans Affairs and Military.com to help veterans navigate the transition. The article from the US Department of Veterans Affairs highlights the challenges veterans may find difficult, including relating to people who do not understand military personnel's experiences, reconnecting with family and reestablishing a role in the family, and finding employment.
"Finding veteran friendly employers not only means that, you know, they're aware, most of what we've gone through and have systems in place to better support that transition, but odds are you're gonna be working with a lot more veterans than non veterans."
I suggest finding military-friendly employers as they are actively seeking to hire veterans and appreciate the qualities they bring to the workplace. This can also provide a sense of community and support during the transition. I also advise veterans to identify their transferable skills and think about how they can be translated into a civilian job. For example, if you were in charge of a team or equipment, this shows leadership and responsibility, which are highly valued in the corporate world.
Attending a Transition Assistance Program (TAP) workshop is a great way to get started on your transition. The workshop covers everything from career exploration to job search strategies. It also provides valuable information on resume, cover letter, and interview preparation. The VA recommends attending a TAP workshop within 180 days of separation or retirement.
My personal experience provides insight into the challenges veterans face when transitioning from military to civilian life. I share my struggles with finding employment and reestablishing a role in my family. Chewning's story is a reminder that the transition from military to civilian life is not easy, but with the right resources and support, veterans can successfully navigate this unique transition.
If you are a veteran or know a veteran, this episode is a must-listen. It provides valuable insight into the challenges veterans face when transitioning from military to civilian life and offers resources to help. Remember, you are not alone in this transition, and there is support available to help you succeed.
